Ladies & Gentlemen,Once again, I'm proud to bring to the most exciting piece of news of the year. After months of toiling, our application to gain official recognition by the Registrar of Society of Malaysia has finally been APPROVED! BMW CLUB Malaysia is now an OFFICIAL CAR CLUB!For those newbies who just joined this forum, please allow me to enlighten you on the people who made this possible. It all began with the creation of this wonderful forum we all now call HOME. Special thanks goes to the founding members cum advisors of this forum/club. A big round of applause goes to:- elwine30 (Elwin Lim)- kevster30 (Kevin Kung)- three28 (Shyam aka apoo)- Juan Powerblow (John Teh)- alvin (Alvin Joseph)- jeffreyewe (Jeffrey Ewe)- albundy (KK Wong)- fabianyee (Fabian Yee)- daredevil (Kelvin Hong)They had the foresight and vision to unite members possessing the same passion for the roundel in accordance to the standards of BMW AG, International BMW Club Council and of course BMW Malaysia. It is because of their personal funding, tireless effort, sweat, time and blood that we are able to share our experiences with our UDM and also benefit from gaining new learnings from this machine. Needless to say, most of us joined this forum as an individual and in the process getting to know countless number of new friends. That's priceless.As the fight went on to obtain official ROS status went on for more a year, the incoming (current) committee reinforced the chances of success. Special thanks goes to osflanker (treasurer '04/'05), kahar (ex-comm '06), JPB (asst club sec '03/'04), elwine30 (club sec '04/'05) and jeffreyewe (VP '06/'07) for charting the club constitution and for being so persistent in making endless trips back and forth the ROS office in PutraJaya to follow up on this matter.With this official status, we can now look forward to bigger and better things for the club. From this point onwards, our club will be the umbrella of all other BMW Club Chapters formed in Malaysia. International Club Council of BMW will only recognise ONE official club. Like I've always said, good things come to those who wait. Your patience will be highly appreciated as we await the announcement of changes that will take place gradually in the rules and regulations where membership of this club is concerned.For those who shown so much anxiety in the status of the ROS, the time has finally arrived. For those who had queries about the progress of the ROS, this one is for you. Attached please find scanned copies of the Certificate and Letter of Recognition issued by the authority of ROS. The Certificate will be framed and displayed at the official correspondence (the current Club President's office). For those who would like to verify the authenticity of the cert and letter, special viewing can be arranged. Hahaha....just kidding.MALAYSIA BOLEH! BMW CLUB MALAYSIA BOLEH!
