Fellow forumers I have my fair share of problems with my E60 and I have then traded in for a Parallel Imported brand new F10 523i in Singapore. The car is due to be collected in August. The price difference between a AD car and PI is close to 40k SGD but there are clause to this. I will not be able to service the car with PML motors unless I pay 30k SGD adoption fees for my car, All parts will be a surcharge of 25% higher than Retail price even after I paid 30k. However, I do get 3 years warranty by a panel and also know a list of BMW specialist garage who can deal and handle a F10. My Qs is. what about the grey import BMW F10 in Malaysia?What happened if your precious grey F10 fall into troubles? Would Ingress/ AB/ Quill attend to help?If so, Can I get my car service with either of these dealers in KL? My mom's E90 is fully serviced by Ingress Damansara

In order for you to get your grey import car serviced by the authorized service centers, you need to get them to register your car and do an inspection. I'm not sure about putting any deposit to get it serviced but I think that's an absurd proposition. I would recommend going to AB Glenmarie.

Bro Xero,

You got a Grey Import 535i. How do you get about servicing your car? Via the route you mentioned, AB to register and inspect?

I am not too sure about Foreign registered car, But I do hope can get it done as I do travel back to KL often.

BTW,

Noticed you running on 20 inch wheels. Did you traded off your 331 19 INCH that comes with the 535I?

Mine is the 17 inch 236 wheels. I am thinking of getting the 328 18 inch and found a set for 1.5k Sgd, traded in set.

My car's still under warranty for 1 year for parts and all, so I go back to the importer for servicing, which cost about RM600 plus just for oil change n filter. I did get my 2011 maps installed at AB Glenmarie but via the importer's contact so it was no frills for me.

Yeah, i sold my ori 331s to another forummer here. I had 20"on for 2 months but swapped to 19" after getting the Juicebox installed. The car's way faster in terms of acceleration and more torquey.

ah... yes, The juicebox. Was recommended by a BMW specialist in Sg but i find that the basic 523i is good enough for me... I am going to keep it stock until my hands are itchy! hahaha....usually wont last too long before I want to change this and that

Whats a juicebox? Remap? :stoned:

Do you have any comments on Ingress? I'm quite interested to get a F10 and they seem to be the most convenient location

We bought our family E90 from Ingress. First notch service. The sales agent even follow up with annual road tax and insurance renewal for my mom for few years running.
When the car had some wear and tear, mainly some minor chipping inthe interior plastics, they had those things replaced under warranty without questioning. Service centre not bad too. The E90 is solely serviced there and never step foot to another workshop! hahaha.. currently doing 33k KMs after 4 years ownership.

4 years with 33k that is pretty low.

Crap. I do average 60k a year. My highway warrior is at 170k only 4 yo. The 4WD is 40k at 15month old. BMW should use me as a test case when I get a new car.

WahLau! The circumference of the earth at the equator is 40,075.16 kilometers.

This means:

1) You travel 1-and-a-half times around the equator every year;
2) Your highway warrior has already gone around the equator slightly over 4 times;
3) Your 4WD has gone around the equator once.

Tyre companies and vehicles makers should use you to test their products man.

Salut and Respect!

I found that Michelins are the best for overall durability and wet weather performance. Currently using PS3 and found to be very happy with it. Problem is I think Michelins don't produce RFT for BMW's? I could be wrong. I've got a friend working for a very reputable German car company and they use Michelins for their reference tyres. Proven technology I guess.

Imagine the petrol and toll I pay (and saman). I've been from JB to Bukit Kayu Hitam up and down the NSE.

Is it for performance or comfort?

Michelins produce RFT's. Used the Primacy HP ZP before and now on PS2 ZP.

I stand corrected. The PS3 i have is a balance of comfort and wet weather performance. It is also quite durable. So those are the main criterias. I would not hesitate to go for Michelins everytime becos your tyres are the only thing between you and the road. If its a matter of life and death, it ultimately boils down to you tyres.

Speaking of wheels,

Does the F10 share the same offset and centre bore with the E90
I ve come across a E90 in singapore downing the Style 236 F10 wheels.
My soon to be delivered F10 comes with the 17 inch wheels and I already bought a set of 328 18 inch from BMW sg forum.
The prices of trading in or selling off a brand new 17 inch RFT and BMW rims are rediculous like 800 SGD.

If that is the case, I am seriously considering putting it on my Mom's E90 as her tires might be due for a change soon anyway.
