Gearbox ok?

Plug in the bwm scanner 1.4 scans it first then only can talk further.

gearbox is having error. plug in and get check..

There is some thing wrong with gearbox.

If you off the engine and restart, does the symbol stay ON or OFF?

If OFF, then plan to go to a workshop to check out the car.

if stay ON, chances is that the gear would be default to 3rd gear "limped mode"
This is normal as it allow you to limp to the nearest workshop to prevent
further damage to your gearbox.

I have the same issue sometimes when i start the car.
So quick fix, unplug one of the battery heads. And there after, starting it no more such indicator.
Some workshops have told me camshaft issue. Sensor changed. After a few days it comes back.
Some told me gear box problem.
I am lost.

I had the same warning light. Send to gearbox specialist, hopefully get it back tomorrow.

Camshaft is for engine and nothing to do with gearbox.

Gear sign came out can due to gearbox faulty or gear position switch faulty or ignition switch faulty.

My car starts to shimmy around 40Km mark, If I release the accelerator, it goes back to normal. Any advice?
