Yes it can.It's called a balljoint by the way.I have asked the spare part shop b4 and both ball joints (item 6 and 5 showing the nuts......hmmm sounds funny)can be replaced individually.
If your car is using normal cast iron arms, then no problem.....however if it is aluminium as in the later models then the whole arm has to be replaced!

Aiyoo... :unsure: why the headache of changing the lower control arm to alloy??? :unsure:lighter by a kilogramm??? so..?? does it make ur car faster ah??? :unsure:
better go to one with the pressing equipment... so that they wont have to waste time ti send to another place to press out the old ball joints and then press in the new ones...
