Anybody tried this on their UDM yet?Just wondering if it works as claimed in the ad...

Don't think it'll have too much of an effect on the UDM. Our cars are quite padded, unless it has been to a recent weightloss programme. :D

if im not mistaken udm's have gone through this process in the factory.

It works... and I know E36 is not foamed....

there were occasions that when chassis creeking noise can't be traced, foaming does the trick... This came from internal source from AyeBee...

Bro,

Thinking of doing it..! What about E30 - 1991..?!

The Satria GTi has it. Based on that, I think it works. I might consider it for my other car, but not the E36 (even if I weren't selling it) because NVH is good enough. Better, it would seem, than the 318's.

don't think, just do it... ;)
i think it's between R500 - RM1000.... maybe we can gather a few other cars and propose a group buy for it.....

in that case, maybe you can propose to him a group buy and see what he can arrange for us here in the BMWClub....

What's the min number of cars? how much? or if possible, have an ad-hoc clinic to explain what's foaming is all about....

Pricing mentioned may be outdated.

Done it on my e21. Sharper cornering, quieter cabin, less creaking when going up slopes diagonally.

Packages can go as high as 2K+ for maximum treatment.

Basic - side sills + B pillars.

other areas - A pillar, cross members and other sealed/semi sealed channels.

I think the RM680 is for Kancil. If I remember correctly, for e30/e36, the starting price could be either RM1080 or RM1280 for the basic side sills and B-pillar. Extra for the A pillar, front and rear subframe etc. You can even put it in the bonnet and boot lid frame.
Bro,

Checked with 'e owner...price 4 our UDM starts at RM680 - RM1,080.

I'll b back this weekend...i can pay a visit 2 KL Auto & get more details. Will keep u guyz inform, k... :D

Most probably, i'll join u guyz on Friday TT at Showru - 2130hrs onward, right..?! :D

Very pleased to report that my car handled very well at the recent Sepang Track Day...

the typical e36 understeer was reduced to a minimum... car was more progressive because the foaming stiffened the chassis and made it handle better... that really helped when you are attempting to pick the correct line through a tricky corner... i can feel exactly when the car will start to slide, and i can catch it better....

more reviews to follow...

u mean u foamed ur chassis aledi?? How much u paid????
From the looks of it, lee has really gone all out to prep his car for the track day. :D

Yes Fab, foamed aledi.... just 3 days b4 the trackday, just in time for it to dry and harden nicely....

U can try it at the next TT... one of the better-handling e36 around now.... understeer greatly reduced.... chassis felt harder and feedback is improved...

Desmond at KL Auto was a very nice guy... ask him for a good discount for BMW club members.... shud be less than 2k for everything including a pillar, b pillar, undercarriage, engine and boot... i did it all.... u can go partial.... see how it feels... and do more if u like the effect... reduced impact to wallet until u r absolutely convinced....

For me, no regret.... another side benefit, car is now almost totally SILENT.... except for tiny noises i did not hear before cause it was previously masked by all the louder creaks and groans from the aging chassis....

u really got moeny to spend on the car... hahahah...

I mgiht just DIY on this... heheheh.. Go buy Wurth foaming cans.....
