DONE!

Shes alive! And no smoke! haha

hehehe congrats bro.. because of u, im looking for a nice e21 to do restoration like how u do, DIY hehehe :D

Now waiting for budget and get my self one..

well done bro, hows the sound and the fuel consumption on your car? i bet its better when u top overhauled it right

Sadly the past weekend I had to remove the engine from the E23 735i as it was smoking badly.

As you may know, I did the "top overhaul" a couple of months ago and I thought that would solve everything. But no... plugs were black and sooty and car wont idle. Upon removing the intake manifold, found engine oil was literally "flowing" inside it... so off came the engine... time for new piston rings...

Here are some pictures from last weekend :

Giving it some cleaning before removing and dismantling everything :

As you wish Sir :)

At tyre shop :

Walla!

The front is HIGH becoz half the engine is not in there :p Also the driveway is sloping downwards. After driving for a while it should settle back down :)

Now if I can get the engine running by this weekend.......

I like the alloys, they really match the car!

i miss driving an M30. simply love the way it just pulls and pulls. bucketlist!
