F30 Rear View Camera

Hello Guys,

I heard recently that dealer can now install original Reverse camera for F30 as add on which does not void warranty .

Is this true? Have anyone done it already?

Yes they have the ori reverse camera but it's not for all F30 models. Pls check with your dealer to see if its available for your model. I know for a fact 316i can't install it.

Interface and what not look exactly the same as in the pic.
Touch wood no issue whatsoever till now..so far SC also no issue with it.

Yep..the brochure mentioned only cars with Professional Navigation system can retrofit it. Even the 320i Sport with Business Navigation system is out of the list.

I've asked them about it and the answer is no. Only cars with the NBT system can have the camera..unless the reverse cam you mention is a non BMW camera.

Yeah I think he meant the noble system. I'm actually more interested with that because it has the mirror link system. Pretty sure I will find my phone's Google map more useful than BMW's navigation system. ..

I see yeah it does look a lot more useful than the crap stock BMW nav system. Have they quoted you how much to install the noble system? Wonder how much to install it.

Hi bro read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDrive#iDrive_Professional_Navigation_.28CIC.29 to understand that NBT is the current system being used, The 320d M-Sport does not have NBT, it's iDrive is the same as the 316i and 320i which has a 6.5 inch screen with no navigation nor the option to install the ori reverse camera.

You can install the ori 8.8 NBT system from our club vendors and if I'm not mistaken the 10.2 inch is possible but not sure of that's ori or not. You can also install 3rd party noble system that enables mirrorlink and reverse camera on the bare bones iDrive (316i, 320i) which I think is the best value system here.
