Hi all,I found that the map in the navigation system is either not up to date or it is simply sucks..Here are the roads i found missing from the map1. Bukit Jelutong, Jalan Birai surrounding areas.2. The new flyover highway from JB to Singapore Causeway.3. Jalan 235 ,PJand I think finding POI/roads is a hassle too where you have to enter the specific location.. which will limit the search area thus harder for the system to find the place.what is your experience with the navi system?

It is best use with google local search, whereby you search with google and send to idrive navi.i am sure f30 has the BMW online right?.other wise you can install BMW online in your f30 for like RM50.

I find the iDrive to be very good. I have gotten used to it especially entering and searching for addresses using the Controller. For me, the key to getting it right was identifying the correct town/city/area or Mukim e.g. Gotta make sure u get the area correct for streets in bordering such as between Klang and Shah Alam. Some areas I thought were in shah alam were really within the Mukim of Klang. After I got through this hiccup I have not had issues with the nav. I have found everything i needed easily. Just need traffic situation to be integrated into it! Any idea how to get this? I have Internet thru my iPhone, whatever do I need to get the traffic updates?

I can't believe some people praising so much about BMW nav. It's so backward, no traffic info unlike Europe, map obsolete so fast. Even Google earth map display is way more advance. And with a simple download, one can use Waze FOC on their phone, with latest road map, traffic info and best of all optimum route based on real traffic condition. All for free!

the bmw satnav is quite hopeless for the premium you pay..well after all they know we suckers will pay for it..then again not that we have much choice really..cos it's bundled in. haven't got the chance to compare with the one in the golf though...

Just learn to live with it. It's not perfect at all. I can understand if you are excited about it if you're new to this. As I said, just install Waze in your phone then you will have at your disposal a smart navigation system with smarter way of beating the traffic.

You will need fsc code to install connected app because yours is f30 but you do not need the code to have BMW online,think..Not only with Google local search you can search also using Panoramio.

What is the fsc code? I thought the above could only be done if we had BMW Remote app, but that is not available in Malaysia
