Starting a new thread on the new F10, now that launch is iminent on 6-8th May 2010. Hopefully we will get photos, comments, etc that will be helpful for consideration of other members. Meanwhile, anyone has any insider info or tips as to the tightly held secrets to the specifications of the 523i and 535i? I hear that first batch only limited units of CBU 523i for immediate delivery after launch. 535i delivery is May/June, next shipment. First batch fully booked, alpine white not available. Apparently 523i will not have navigation, 2.5 204hp, what else don't know. That's what I hear. Anyone to add?

Lots of sifu advise not to buy the first batch, normally got some problems....just buy after the few batch or maybe after 1 year...What u u all think ?????

yes and no. yes, there could be bugs. no, coz there's no better feeling than owning a new model.. besides, the warranty will take care of any technical issues.

How comfortable are you making out with strangers?

Are u an innovator, early adopter, late majority or laggard? :smokin:

strangers who model or teach belly dancing for a living i do not mind.. :D

true bro,but i wouldn't want to be a guinea pig for it... just like the perdua alza and i old citreon ZX in '95.. car was a lemon, died on me on day one till i sold it after 6 months..

if the new F10 out now, i will wait at least for 6 to 8 months, BMW always do tech upgrade and will introduce new optional accessories, kit's promotions and new engine line ups..

worth the wait i say.. like now.. the e60 almost comes with all the option list...hehe

Well it is no secret that as time goes on, there will be add ons and a facelift version which is pretty much what every manufacturer does.

The current engine and transmission used in the f10 is similar to the E90, and not the newer ones (523 with 3 liter engine block) installed in europe probably due to our poor fuel quality. The engine is still N52 but with higher HP to 204 (compared to 190 previously), but mated to 8 speed transmission.

Buy now, you will be one of the first few on the road with the F10. Would you prefer an E60 will full options or a new F10? :)

Just wondering... what would be the 3 series new F code?

That would be F30!! And a full circle after the iconic E30 :)

LOL, much better to buy after LCI :21:

haha when you start thinking like you'll never buy la bro...i feel that the car model cycle of today is too hurried, it doesnt give an owner the satisfaction of having the best his/her money can buy for long enough

To me, it's still reasonable.I mean, BMW change their model cycle every 7-8 years so I think that's good. The first LCI for the F10 would probably be in somewhere around 2012 or 2013 which is still loong way to go and what you said is right, by that time you might have think of not buying that car.

I'm still waiting for the M-Sport package... Should be promising :D

There's 1 brand that virtually look almost similars in shape that still looks great after 10 yrs...Porsche 911 (996 >):rock:

Just to share share, AB sg Besi is offering a a whopping RM50,000 discounts for 523i SE, E60 because the F10 is finally here :)

It is a very good offer and at the same time a very good move by BMW AB to clear up the old stock... They don't want to see the E60 being sold at the same price as the F10 and the F10 will sold but the old E60 will not. Should I call this a ''lelong'' LOL!!

Good deal no doubt, but you'll suffer another 50k depreciation the moment you sign up. Who wants to buy a brand new old model, when the new model is already out?
