Dear All can engine oil be evaporated due to high temperature of the engine?
"fully synthetic engine oils as they tend to evaporate a lil faster "???Originally posted by tyke@Nov 10 2005, 07:06 PM
yup! especially if ur using fully synthetic engine oils as they tend to evaporate a lil faster and/or depending on ur engines running condition...
No oil leaks and compression of four cyclinders ok.Originally posted by affan66@Nov 10 2005, 05:03 AM
shouldn't be.
Any leaks? Gasket? Oil sump? Check where you park and also hoist it up.

you may want to check other areas like your plugs to see if they have some useful clues to where your engine oil has "evaporated" to....
try Mobil 1 - 5W50 FS... It Will...Originally posted by Mikeong@Nov 11 2005, 08:56 AM
Normally its good to have some oil sip through the piston rings. This actually lubricates the cyclinder better and less wear on the engine. As far as i know fully synthetic oil does not evaporate.
