Just arrived from Brunei and....my mech confirmed my engine was beyond repairs.Max budget is 15-20k..so what are my options ?My car is M54b22

Write off your old engine and sell it as scrap. Go for a half-cut M54B30. Your budget is more than sufficient and could include a set of bigger front brake calipers & rotors (from e39 540i).

Now the question is u want to use the car in original version or not (eg still want to use back BMW engine) ?

Agree with Herbert, go for the M54B30 bro if your budget allows. If not go one up to the M54B25.

The best option is upgrade your engine to M54B30 u will be happy with the performance, I am also using the same engine M54B22 but my engine is still running very well but i have plans to convert it to M54B30 near future..........cheers

Depends what my workshop advises me on that matter as i need to consider the amount of alteration from auto to manual currently its setup is auto maybe auto to auto less issues and much easier to just swap the parts. will update when i am going to do this upgrade surely.

After been playing with numbers....I think B30 auto conversion is the best conversion..least headache..and can put more money on my E30 project car. If still tak power, can pujuk abang 535i jual supercharger dia murah murah

i bought a lemonade car..prev owner have done head skimming and the block screw becoming larger and larger.....hence impossible to screw head and engine block together



actually I was viewing a 330ci and suddenly my e39 merajuk.......she will stays with me like forever then....
