engine convertion

Just to find out how many ppl have done this convertion. Thinking of doing it also. can my 318 handle the extra weight and power of the engine? Any sifus on this subject?

Of cause this 15K is consider good convertion with all important parts will be change.....u can get lower if u not changing all parts to new....

but how about jpj approval...? i thought that engine convertion must not exceed 20% increase.. my car is 1.8 only....? :huh:

here is a basic list of what you need.....ofcourse there are other things needed

1. m50b25(M) non-vanos halfcut (e34)- i personally would overhaul the engine before dropping it in.
2. e32/e38 brake booster
3. e28m5 engine mounts
4. new radiator
5. custom suspension would be ideal to match the new engine weight and position.....ground control or titan??
6. longshaft
7. mathcing rear differential to new engine and gearbox LSD??
8. rear disc (if you are running drums)
9. Antiroll bars to match suspension
10. new fan clutch

11. i would also suggest stich and spot welding of your car's chasis and foam the main chassis beams......

12. get better tyres
13. since you are taking apart you engine go for the e36 steering rack conversion

there are definately things i have left out.....i would say you need about 20k if you want to do the conversion....its better to aim for a higher budget rather than falling short.

still wanna do the conversion???? its worth it....

hmmm.... a bit over my budget lah. i thought a simple engine convertion would be around 10-15 k only, like that can lah. now kena cari the rest of the budget lah... anybody know how to get fast money :nyehehe:

guys theres's one white 84 e30 in the autotrader, fully tricked out and race prep beast.. engine converted to m50 2.7 . for sale only 26k. went to test the car , belongs to a mat salleh boy. how i wish can afford it
