That only lights up when you flash-to-pass with your headlamps set to "off".

rpmnut, pls give the flow how to setting?? thx

With all lights turn off, pulling the turn signal lever will activate the bulb. Well that's how it is suppose to work..

Hi louiswaw

Signal lever as in the signal lights/indicator? You mean to say it doesn't light up during normal night driving? The other day I manage to get the left side turned on but after pressing the lights button a few times, it's gone again. I'm trying to find out the actual behavior so I can know if it's faulty or not :(

Yeah the turn signal lever, like you push it for high beam but pull is for flash to pass. Try pulling with the headlights turned off.

If yours an LCI, the inner lights would also be used adaptively to help you see corners, see here http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/foru...-already-here.&p=650544&viewfull=1#post650544

Cheers

...isnt that light suppose to be the high beam???? ...and if it is, of course it shouldnt be lighted up during normal night driving unless u want to be shot!

Mine Pre-LCI, its suppose to ON during night drive, both sides. Try going to i-drive settings under day-light running light option and turn it on.

If still not working i guess the bulb's burnt.

Are you sure yours can turn on? Mine really can't and only the ring lights up but not the bulb inside, lol

If not mistaken on mine it lights up only when I switch on high beam or pass lights.

....because thats the high beamlah!

Thanks guys but it's definitely not the high beam because if it is, I won't be creating this topic :) You can try flashing your high beam or turning it on, it won't light up.

Thats because it will only light up when the headlights are on! Even if the small lights are on it will not turn on, only when the headlights are on.

Have you ever tried it? :)

... Its u who needs to try it not me! After trying it if it doesnt work, then go to ur near spare part shop to get some bulbs.

Thanks bro aidilj. Mine is E60 LCI with Xenon and if I flash, the outer ones will light up so I believe it's bi-xenon or some sort? I've seen the small inner light coming on by luck but I've no idea how it works and that's the reason why I'm asking around :)

I think you're totally lost here :) You need to understand that there are many different headlights for the same E60. Perhaps yours is just different from what we are discussing here.
