E46 Head lamp and plastic trimm recondition !

Hello all sifus here...Can anybody tell me how to...1. Get rid of rought surface of Head light (Plastic cover) due to wear n tear?2. Buy suitable chemical for recondition the black plastic trim such as exterior door trim and bumper? SO that it will be resrored back to black.I use tire shine as wash car center used one but it's leaved whity effect after sometime not using it ...Tq tq

aiyaa mouse just paid booking... last nite cant sleep maa! now awaiting for loan to be approved! hee hee hopefully not approved lah cos feel gulity with the high price fuel situation etc... i booked ckd e46 year aug 2001 single lady owner n milage 105k km with the price of 125k ! but the paint is ori and a bit blur lah... is it okeh ahh with the price?

today just checked AV service history...yes the owner did service regularly n no major/minor problem reported...follow schedule one!
and check with sms polis saman trafik found there is 4 saman pending for payment for lari laju and langgar trafik light all ... so who to pay ahh? me or the prev ower? if she refuse paying how???

as far as I know, you can't recondition the plastic covers for the headlamps. A new set costs around RM500 I believe.

I recently bought a 'back to black' treatment from Brother's and its the best I've tried....and trust me i've tried a quite few....the black is very black and has lasted several washes...... still remains shiny black today.....almost like a paint job and it comes in a shoe polish type casing with a sponge at the top......i forget the name and unfortunately i can't check now because its outside near my doggie house and and i'm half naked in my room and i'm afraid to go outside like this because i think the neigbour's wife has been eyeing my ass for a while now. I'll check tomorrow when fully clothed.

Can DIY now everityhing so expensive jalan jalan pun kene pergi dekat,
For the front light u can remove the cover and get some cut & polish wax to polish work but dont do too long takut nanti calar lah.
For those black u can get the tire wax by soft99, black polish for all black trim on door and bumper. Looks ok after the wax much better tham those tire polish fr car wash.

Congrats Paksu on yr ownership of the UDM.

Regarding saman,AFAIK the samans are made on the owner
of the vehicle's name at time of offence.Previous owners normally are
obliged to settle all their summons due before handing their vehicle
over to the new owners.
Anyway it's better to get the previous owner to honour his due.
Just my opinion.

Regarding headlamp...so far i didn't know that the head lamp plastic cover can be opened one! cos the car that i'm dealing now having it's headlamp sort of chrome plastic arround it's reflector! i dont like it, i like just a black plastic only ! so can i open it and remove out those stuff?

regarding the prev owner's saman i will ask dealer to talk with owner to settle it fast b4 the warrant is issued! i think instead of listing the car number the jpj suppost list the ic number lar! so that it's fear to everybody rite? by the way i got 6 saman on my existing car that i'm going to trade in :getyourfactsright:

125K is the current market rate for CKD 2001, not bad bargain also. but mileage abit high for me, u can actually get 80+k. but most important the car condition is good as u already check is AB, then milege abit high also nvm. sometimes car mileage low but owner dun take care and service also mati. bro, u check the record with AB do they charge u? u just go to AB and give them the car plate and they check for u FOC? remember to take pic of your car and show us your ride.

to check with AV for service record etc u just ring them up and ask them to reveal service record by prviding them a car number, I ask them to fax to me the report but they wont do that! we might ask whether there is a major problem send for repair etc... and the last milage done! so u can get the AV phone number at AV web site...

not yet lar bro, still driving my Iswara Aeroback year 1995, 1298cc (good condition, careful owner, well maintained & accident free) But already plan to eat roti for 5 years after i get my E46, muhahahaahhaha
