You can get it from anywhere just becareful of old stock with problematic ballasts in the market. On the earlier group buy where I got some sets for the members here, even after testing them from the Thai supplier before paying, some members have reported that the ballast went bust a few weeks after installation (some unlucky ones even a few hours).
The last I heard is that one of our local importer got 1000 sets of angel eyes for distribution so it will take time to clear before the new versions come in. Prior to June 2006, all CCFLs are running on version 2.0 but there is no quality control and also no warranty given (they only allow you to test before paying and even if it busts after 1 hour you have to purchase replacement parts or a new set.
June 2006 onwards there have been an upgrade on the ballast, so I will call it version 2.1 due to the upgrade (all newer versions go through their QC testing before it is being sold) and also the makers have committed a 6 mth wty on the products.
How to check whether it is the older version 2.0 or the newer 2.1? Check the numbers behind the ballast and you will get the production code. The current stocks that I got (after June 2006) is now all on version 2.1.
There have been a few members who got the new version 2.1 through me just recently so it is too soon to tell how well it performs compared to the previous ones. I'm hoping that it performs much better, but at least there is a 6 mth buffer period due to the wty unlike previously.
