A few of my classmates have "graduated" to Accords and Camrys. Of course thet would love to get a new E60 but being salarymen they are not prepared to fork out RM350K on a car!

On the other hand these are guys would never get a 5-6 year old second hand E39. They wouldnt want the hassle of maintaining a second hand car.

You did mention about salarymen here... given that their current salary, even if they can afford to get E60... I don't think that they will jump into the bandwagon unless they have a lot of money to burn. I am sure that at their age, other commitments such as family, house installments have a higher priority here.

So if buying a new Accord... they feel more at ease, knowing that they don't have to worry about wear & tear for the first few years... my 2 cents
