The newest E36 is 10 years old and the prices are now very affordable. You can get a E36 for less than RM40k. Put aside anorther RM10k to fix it up and you would have a performance car at a bargain. The E36 is still very modern looking. A fresh coat of paint or a polish and wa-lah u hv a decent looking ride. Once you get the mechanics of the car in order, you can move your focus to modding the car....rims, suspension, stereo etc. You'll never get bored of the car until you move on to your next Bimmer. So guys, I invite you to join the E36 experience. Buy the best E36 you can afford and I guarantee you that you'll have no regrets. Happy Merdeka!

bros, i'm selling my car e36 1997 locally assembled car for 36k. good condition with minor cosmetic repairs (estimated 2.5-3k) for the potential buyer. i advertised in motortrader and you can't imagine the absurd offers i get . the following are examples :

1. "i pay cash! how much less ah? 30k can ah? uh? why kenot?? cash! cash!!" (KNN!! pay me in EURO's and i will gladly accept!)

2. "aiya! no 18" rims...very sad!" (TNM! advert says standard stock!)

3. "i pay cash! 30K ! can't pay more as i only have 10K for mods! can ah? cash wat?!" (TMNT!! got $$$ for mods but no money for car!! buy earlier model lar...)

4. "love your car! . repairs approx 2k at seller's own cost cos tight budget and need to spare transport cost (approx 4k) to transport the car to east malaysia. offer you 35K all in! will release payment upon receival of car in east malaysia (original offer)" (NMCCB! you must think i hate my car that much!)

5. "how is the car compared to a honda or a toyota ah?" (i ask the guy why you buy "Acer", not "HP"?...not "I-Mac"?...not "Dell"?...no answer)

6. "i hear my friend say maintenance is very very high wor..." (ask your friend to pay lar...f**k!)

Yes, selling you car can be a real headache esp if your car is over 10 yrs old. Thats why many people just trade in their cars even at a ridiculously low price.

But when you put in the effort that we have in our cars , it can be very frustrating to get such smses.

I hope your car finds a new home soon so you can get on with your next project.

i love ur replies bro...cool!!

haha, the KNN-TNM-NMCCB-etc acronyms are damn funny. shit man, i aint gonna sell my e36 at these prices.

Hellraiser,

Nice one. Sometimes you get ridiculous requests and offers.

There's one thing I just don't get. One calls up and ask this question. "What's your best price ah?" before they even view or testdrive the car. For crying out loud, it's a car we're talking about here. Not a kg of meat or a bunch of spring onions. Hahahaha.......no offence to anyone. Sometimes it just tickles me to no end.

enquiry # 8 (just remembered) :

A : "i saw your advert in motortrader and i'm a broker. is this your best price?"

B : "best price, bro. 36K just like the model..e36 (joke, gettit?!)

A : "the thing is my friend like's the car and he oredi saw your ad in MT"

B : "but...its your friend, right?? let him drive a nice car once in his lifetime lar..."

(friend must have asked him to nego on his part. ini macam punye kawan pun ada!)

yeah ! long live the E36 ! that's why I had mine recently painted
as I intend to keep it for at least another 2-3 years .
btw , had always thought that the air intake beside the sportlights
are for cooling the discbrake ...downforce huh?...cool , very F1 !

i had an enquiry yesterday. pay cash. how much best price.

i politely told the lady this is not like buying a kg of daging!!! told her to come and see the car, then talk about price.

some people are so ......:stupid:

ah...the e36.... the car that i "dreamed" of when i was still in university...
And then bila ada sikit duit....
My first BMW was the e36 318i MANUAL....so many years ago...but i still remember how i regularly drove it along the then Jalan Gopeng in Ipoh with the windows wind down & the audio player off so that i can hear the engine note  ... i still remember .... the brown leather seats & mint dashboard.... it was a beauty to drive, the manual gear shift was very precise & short. in fact i think the e36 still looks sweet & sporty. i still remember ... how after locking it and as i walk away, i would always turn back & look at the car. each time i did that, i said to myself fraking nice car :D

p/s the e36 is a lot cheaper to maintain than a proton perdana V6.
