E34 - exhaust system .....

I m using M20B20 engine, to me i dun find any performance difference changing the rear muffler.
I am using HIOP E36 6-cylinder DTM straight style muffler(not sure for 325i or M3) in my Manual E34.

The only difference, u will psychologically feel better power bcos of the Deep Exhaust Tone :stupid:


Btw....u will sure feel better torque if u use 520 or 525 muffler, bcos ur current one bocor ma haha, sure lost low-end, mid-end torque

Yalor.....bocor d...the bunyi very irritating la.......bising tapi keta tak pergi......Yuks!!....Well.....i would prefer the 525i stock....if it fits bolt on......i dun mind.....janji tiptop condition...no bocor or karat.....kekeke.......I ni suka stock .....mod sikit okla..la.......penting cruising senyap dari dalam...kekekekeke......

So bro...u ada tak picture stock exhaust system for 520i & 525i.....coz with picture ...i will know whether the 525i will fit....

hehe....pls help....anyone.....i nak cepat cepat sayang d car...if not hati tarak shiok...:wink:

u need to change center part as well bcos 525i muffler is twin in twin out, 520i is 1 in 1 out

or ask the exhaust sifu to modify the pipe to u like i did

First Pic: Modify the pipe to split 1 into 2, or join the inlet pipe of the muffler 2 into 1

Second Pic: The center part of the exhaust must be changed which is connected to the rear muffler

Yup...thats what i plan to do..,....get a 525i 2 in 2 out..exhaust .......starting from the center box to belakang......then i will bring whole thing to a exhaust sifu......and do some changes in the pipes.....kekekeke:wink::wink:....but 1st......pls help me find the 525i Ori exhaust system from kedai potong ......

some nice shots of our E34 under carriage but ni i think is M5........the exhaust is a very interesting item.....hehehe......by looking at it........pun shiok lar

The cat......is the one before the center box nearer to the engine...is it?? If take out.....replace with 2 round center muffler is it ok?? Anyone done that before??

yeah there are people do that...but that will emit excess CO2, which contributes to global warming :68:

users also report that replacing the cat with center bullet will increase a bit of hp...but think for the sake of our future generation :wink:

anyway...it doesnt matter in Malaysia...expecially KL....when u see those metrobus emits black ashes from the butts....:stupid:

Yeah.....u got a point there too.....but this CAT been there since 1996.......now 2009.....Haiyo....what you think har?? Nak tanggal atau tidak?? Cannot find kat kedai potong also, ori exhaust system...Yala....taking out the CAT , then replace 2 center muffler ...i believe it will FREE the car abit........i nak senyap aje......Mmm......cant think now......maybe i will try go KLANG one round....see whether i can find a stock exhaust not......or else i just change the center muffler & rear muffler......then letak one nice tip....ok ka?? I believe no matter how senyap......bunyi BMW sure masih maintain......kekeke...........mine is a 520i 24V mar.....just want it simple saja....ekekeke

yeah new cat COST A BOMB, but i thought changing it to center bullet will make the exhaust sound louder??

last time(January) my old muffler still can be used but i left in the exhaust shop....or sell u Rm30 haha~

Oh! Done my exhaust d........the CAT betul dah bocor lor......the rear muffler too.......so i found the right mufflers that fit the job!! Will show you the pictures soon......then with a nice tip ....mcm AC....tapi bukan......kekeke.....cheaper alternative lar......looks ok though........so now senyap sikit........But im thinking of going back to the shop, to change the center to a bigger muffler.....buat senyap lagi......and Bro....got to tell you.....now the response better....without the CAT.......tapi bau sikit lar......BTW what plugs are u guys using ahhh??:wink:.........todays damage was RM560 .....hehe......siap semua...will upload the pictures soon......
