Welcome to E34 world,

Where the best 5-series body/chassis still reign supreme in the eyes of many entusiasts.

Do you know if your engine is Vanos or not ?. For this year, it could be single Vanos or non-vanos. To check visually, see the front of the cylinder head facing the radiator. There is a silver cover just before the black valve cover, on this silver cover, you might see a black cable going into the bulge just below the cover. Thats the vanos solenoid and the black cable is its power/control cable.

VANOS kicks in at exactly 2800 rpm for additional torque. You can feel it if the car is pulling hard.

Hi wan520i,
Thanks for your compliment. Bought at RM46K. Overall condition still acceptable except some minor touch-up (can go with or without it).

This is my first BMW after working for many "donkey" years.

Thanks for your compliment.

Mine is without Vanos. However, can feel the power when hard press the fuel accelerator. It is smooth and fast.

Compare with my previous ride (W124 260E), this is much better in terms of power and responses.

Sometime feels abit out of control............!
Guess need to upgrade my skills in defensive driving.

Just post at Members' BMW section.....The gallery is very hard to upload it...At least i dun know how to do it......
