Chan, how much to do the carbon fibre thing? How many pieces? Any pics?

Hi Vincent,

I managed to do 4 doors letches, switch cover at speedometer

Fellas,

I've seen the CF trim in his car and it's very impressive indeed. The only limiting factor is whether your trim/panel pieces are removable or not. The shop does not want to take chances in removing a panel and breaking it - but if you can remove it and send it to them, they can pretty much CF it. I was thinking of removing my M3 front bumper's lower lip for the same treatment.

P/S - What's the next mod, Mr. Chan ?

Regards,
VaN.

Chan,

Go with the CD5000 - it's a current model from Eclipse 2005/6 lineup and it's one of the better SQ decks out there. The price that you mentioned to me the other day is very good indeed when compared to what it's going for in KL. BTW, I heard that you're having the Hertz sub from Yap in your car for a try-out ? How does it sound ?

VaN.

thx van, since u said very impressive so next step is for me to ask my mechanic to dismantle my interior trim nicely then when im in town during raya time maybe i cld send them for CF at era maju rite, thx anyway van

:D When r u goin to do? How much? I'm interested too:cool:

Chan,

What timer are you looking for ? Is this what your friend is offering you ? This is the Eclipse CD5000. As far as I know, it has all the toys you'll ever need - DSP with 7-band parametric EQ and time alignment, SRS Circle II Surround, three sets of 8-volt preamp outputs, subwoofer control with low-pass filter, built-in e-crossovers, MP3 and WMA playback etc. Link and pic found below :

Plus ... the usual superb sound quality that Eclipse is so revered for by IASCA and EMMA competitors and serious users alike. If you wanna know what a decent Eclipse is capable of, just hear mine which is a 2004 model. And the price you've mentioned, the CD5000 is even cheaper than the previous 2005 model, CD8445 which is my personal favourite. Unfortunately I need a HU with 4 preamp outputs for the next setup so no more Eclipse for me. Good choice on the Hertz sub ...

Regards,
VaN.
