Does anybody know how long will the wheel bearing last before kaput. And will leaving the car parked stationary(Becoz I only drive the car only 2-3 days per week) for long periods of time be detrimental to the bearings?? The reason I'm asking this is that during my recent trip back from home town I'm notice that there is intermittent noise coming from either front rightside wheel bearing or the back. And these bearing I have last changed was abt 1.5 - 2 yrs ago.

make sure you get good bearings should last long lah, my car in my hand 7 years so far I remember change only rear bearings that also I thing last six years still ok. easy to check jack up roll your tyres can feel the sound hold the springs or shocks. even park cars should last as my Austin in my hand since 1993 till now still good and I hardly drive the car. its 1973 model car.

depends on the way u drive, the road conditions(bumpy and full of pot holes) and how u drive on these road conditions.

normally i change mine every year,max 2 years...(kiasu mah)

Looks like the E30 wheel bearing is not that robust after all.....
robust.... mine 22 years old worrr... syill okay mah. maybe need to change soon lorr :p

there are basically 2 brands of wheel bearings been sold here.. FAG and SKF.. Not sure if Timken does the E30 front wheel bearing...

FAG is the better one or so I was told.. If got Timken, better still..

E30 front wheel bearing are not cheap though. At about RM180 each.
