Rear Brake Disc Conversion Cost - Clarification.
Rear Trailing Arm Set: $1,200.00 (left & right - used)
Brake Disc Skimming: $70.00 (left & right)
Rear Brake Pads: $300.00 (left & right set - new)
Workmanship cost for rear brake disk conversion: $200.00
Total conversion cost with used disc : $1,770.00
In my case, skimmed (used) disc too thin, thus unsafe for use and hence, new discs replacement. Rear Brake Disc: $320.00 (left & right - new)
Additional item costs
1. New fuel pump: $850.00 (M1 - Ara Damansara)
2. Rear "dual-piece" spoiler - top portion only: $180.00 (BumiFiber-USJ)
Pictures of UDM certainly on the way - when better organized.

i just changed some parts...but i felt its a bit pricy, im not so sure bout the price and the mechanic claims its original parts from auto bavaria. here the price

thats why la...bearing..and all that...just changed it, but sad after that my car breakdown 2 times on the highway..what such a mechanic? and another question...ive change the water pump but my coolant sensor still blinking..
traffic jam - the temperature seem ok but suddenly my car overpowered and cause batt. "kong"...then start the engine the water and the pressure coming out from engine's bay what i suppose to do next? the problems? any workshop recommend?

Problem
Car pulls to the left only during braking
Cause
Front right caliper jammed due to scored piston rubbing against rubber seal. Front right brake pads & disc badly worn - Textar pads & ori BMW disc ......
Solution
Used piston from my old solid disc calipers (never throw away old parts :lol: ) : RM0
Pagid brake pads : US$18.50 (bought on eBay)
Caliper repair kit x 2 : RM70
National discs x 2 : RM540
Dot 4 brake fluid : RM30
Labor : RM100
The discs are X-drilled & grooved and formerly branded as Race Equip (house brand of 911 Zentrum). They're made by National which is apparently the largest brake component manufacturer in the UK.
Once the pads & discs are bedded in, I'll let you guys know how they perform. Now they feel a little mushy & scary ..... :unsure:

Front right tie rod / ball joint (Meyle) : RM95
Labor : RM50
Before replacing this, my ride was a little jarring going over stutter bumps especially - even the steering wheel "knocks" on these bumps. I always thot it was due to the Eibachs or the harder compound tires (RE711).
But after changing the new tie rod, the ride is fantastically plush (relatively of course) - it was definitely a worn ball joint. Again, a world of difference !

I've changed my ball joint... but still have the thuding sound and has a bit of free play... would that be the tie rod end, anti roll bar or the long/short ball joint??
Btw how much was the tie rod end??

define free play...in which direction? and sound during what situation.....
just for comparison - i had wear in my boomerang ball joints......and it was rattling when I go up or down a corrugated ramps in car parks.
tot it was my top mount at 1st....which is the other thing you could check.
a good mechanic should be able to tell after a test drive and physical check underneath....if not, change mechanic as well....he he!

Bro pls HELP ME
I've been looking for rims for my E30 till now can't find.. your rims are nice if can get would be nice.. i like the AC TYPE 1 or 2 also.. but normally 5 holes.. sometimes i see E30 with those rims and they are 4 hole.. i heard they are from taiwan.. ok lah no prob..anybody want to sell??

Can only advise, be patient, join TT, know the members and with time - you will find what u want. Be willing to pay well, will be helpful too. Nice E30 4 lug rims are rare......
