at OPTIMUM AUTOWORKS KAYU ARA.

meter gear for mileage - RM180
power window wiring inspection - RM80
thorough inspection - RM80

front brake pad - RM215
both drive shaft(used) - RM900

Meter gear i had to replace not that long ago, plastic all broke into peaces as i removed it, cost me about the same.

won't say much about item 2 and 3, as its subjective. I would normally do my own inspection, thus would have saves RM160

Front brake pads must be really good and branded, last time i bought mine, cost me RM90 and when changed them paid RM120 for a better brand.

As for the drive shafts, i paid RM250 for both, also used, which is no doubt expensive. Better option is to upgrade to disc breaks, you will get set of shafts and disc breaks, which will cost you RM500. I think paying RM900 for two second hand shafts is a day light robbery.

With e30, it helps to shop around and a little bit of patience goes a long way.

for me...all car have that problem..selama i use my e30,dia x pernah wat problem...if dah falling in love,just go on.

hi all bimmers..
recently my e30 have the problem of, how should i say:
1) the engine started..idle for a couple minutes, then suddenly turns off
2) the engine cannot be started again.
3) does happen whether fuel is full or empty.

what actually happen to the car?
i doubt about throttle body as well, as the idling rpm is below 1000.

sorry guys all above questions may sound like amateurs questions, im indeed rookie about engines.

steering freeplay but still drivable i suspect needa change coupeling instead of the whole rack.

O2 sensor? berapa ni?

power steering leak? this is suspecting for the hose leaks...

wonder how much the repairs will cost?
