Possibly there could b difference in prices btw models. Problem wid dis type of nomenclature or way of describing & listing parts & prices, is dat der price & part may refer to one class/ model only & not de same for der others.Perhaps our "website committee" can look into availing the "poster" to post the type/ configuration of his ride just like in the old website. Dat way we readers of the post can all follow what the "poster" is refering to. Naturally, he's refering to repairs made on his ride but deh r quite a few types of e30s and we don't all necessarily own the same type of e30 dat the "poster" is refering to. So while he (the "poster") is refering to the problems/ part prices of his ride, we're all left wondering which type of e30 he'd relating to.Is anybody following this idea so far?

Dear Mr Administrator,Can we get this PINNED up, just like the e46 parts & maintenance...? We are now almost 50 member strong on E30 ownership-lar!Cheers!

Mor confusion 2 methods of posting parts & prices, jus s I said! E.g. what c.c. model, which engine-type, what oem make, which locality & source of purchase & etc.
Is ther any light 2 d end of der tunnel yet, Mr. Moderator? Help!

yes... is the admin willing to change our mini profile back to the previous forum.. its very good...

as 2cents said is absolutely right !

it let us know the member posting topic on which model they are driving...

2cents, ( & kinaka )

Since 2cents quoted my thread - I find it necessary to clarify. As mentioned in my 1st thread on this topic, the prices were from the OLD FORUM and posted by members who we had no possibility to recall now.

While it is a good suggestion to mention all details of your ride when we quote our spending list - regulars will soon know what model the regular forumers drive........come to TT, then u remember better.

Please remember this : Those who post are doing ALL READERS FAVOURS in sharing their info & data. Please be reasonable okay in your suggestions/requests.....just my opinion.

oh my friend....

i'm not mean that poster (never/have to) mention their makes & model..

i mean its better if our mini profile on the left shows our makes and model.. its easier for those who nvr join the TT session or other forumer easy to understand what actually others forumer trying to explain.... :)

i believe some ppl will confuse on the model where the forumer chatting... hehe

This is just my humble opinion to the admin..... thankssssss

If I may clarify, my comments were not meant to make demands nor to hurt, they were simply meant to provide examples to get my point across, that the way in which the posting of parts & prices had been done in the past & from what's evident to-date, tho' on a voluntary & spontaneous & a 'as-best-can-be' basis, imho, there exists a need a for guidance in posting & also better methods of collecting & organizing such info.
As I said, my comments were not directed at anyone in particular but if any at all, the moderator. And neither was it meant to put impositions on any forum contributor (I was also one of them posting parts & labor prices).
I kno this matter is not so easily solved as it costs time & money to create such a sub-registry within the web portal.
So in the meantime, with the illustration of my points via the previous posts, I hope that some of u will at least agree that if we had info put into the various fields I listed, we will all benefit more from the greater clarity.
Again, I offer my humble apologies if I've seemed to been demanding on you and anyone else on these matters as I didn't mean for it to be so. :)

No problems 2cents,

I agree with you on the models we drive should be mentioned somewhere, as per the old forum. As an interim measure, do what Kinaka does......display it on your signature.

another poor substitute is to check the E30 register...and best suggestion - come TT & get to know the members and their rides....

I am also newbie although a migrant from old forum - so yet to meet all and remember what their rides are.

last of all, I drive a very old 323i 2 door.....probably the oldest E30 here. ( registered 8th June 1983 ). wave when you pass me.....
