E30 Parts & Maintenance

Replaced 2 Brembo rear brake rotors at Radha's, yesterday - RM110/disc. from Bomin. Labor-RM30.

Purchased below items at Munich Auto today:

1. Part no. 13541705568 (water hose from throttle body to thermostat) shown as item no.17 - RM55.

2. Part no. 11531286338 (water hose from throttle body to Additional Air Valve) shown as item no.16 - RM40.

i need to check my car wiring. any recommended shop coz i go 2-3 shop & they can't do it. only know how to change bulb. :beaten:

1. steering rack repair kit (al rack) - rm 180
- labor to overhaul - rm 100 @ optimum auto kayu ara
2. oil sump drain hole thread repair - rm50
3. radiator center core - rm395

all above parts were removed from the car DIY and sent to various shops for rework.

King E, whats wrong wit your wiring, if you are in KL u can try my mech. He is quite good with wiring but one man show so abit slow. Miepower, cklim and afew other forumers use him. PM if you are keen. k:

Hello to all Beemer Lovers.

This is a very informative website for me. I am new here and FYI, i've just purchase a E30 beemer (quite beat up actually, but the price was a bargain. Best of all, I am a PROUND owner of BEEMER ).

So far, I've done some rust proofings myself (very messy work but I manage to learn alot).

What I wish to inquire from fellow beemer owners is that where can I get the E30 front light with a "dot" in the centre of the headlight (please refer to the attached picture. My appology for using a member's picture.).

I've search for the lights in numerous kedai kereta potong (sorry, but budget is tight as I just got a job 6 months ago), but to no avail.

Anyone can advice me about these wonderful frontlights?

That is hijack king's ride, Zoggee's yellow banana, doing donuts. The lights you want are elipsoids and cost abt RM400 at chop shops. PM zoggee, maybe he can help you as there are a few chop shops hear his place. If yours does not have then 'dot' then it would be the US spec sealed beams. There are two types of elips used in E30, one with little opening below the 'dot' and those are called smillies, i have both and don't see much difference between them. When you get your lights make sure the white lines in the driving light lenses are still there.

Serviced my front right side brake caliper due to brake pads pressing againsts the rotor and therefore giving off some intermitten noise from the front tyre(which I tought was symptom of bearing wear)

Cost of repair RM76/- using repair kit and topping up of brake fluid.

What was the price before this? I forgot how much I paid for, oh I use to buy semi not the mineral base oil, anyway I change to Castrol magnetec see how it goes as VP recomended.

Do you want to sell one set to or trade for an AFM?

sorry skar, the spare set has be opened for smoked/angle eye conversion. As soon as that is done, i may open the other one and smoke that one now that i know how its done. Then we can talk.

Anyhow what do you want for the AFM.
