been experiencing brake pedal to the floor intermittently, lately. so this morning i change the master brake pump or master cylinder some ppl call it.its not tough, but kinna hassle. the brake metal hose can be tricky to install especially the bottom hose. since this job would splill lot of brake fluid&bleeding, i took the opportunity to change the fuild as well. verdict: if u think that e30 braking suxx.. yea its still suxx even with the new master pump, personally even with bigger booster, i doubt the brake would be good for standard e30... word of advise, if u need m3 braking power, get urself an m3...:top:

skinhead......
no one replied cos they no u wrong lar.....e30 brakes sucks stock but after upgrade, well I have no complaints.....see my mod list on my brakes.

and the list goes on an on and on.... why not we explain the mod we've done and we'll see what works and what wont work.

I've changed my disc to tarox vantelated front rear with ate pads and maintain the ori pump.

The verdict, much better breaking then the original 325 ventilated disc but very weak at high speed and in the wet. Hence, I’m opting for other mods to suppliment it.

Yeah, Mie is right. Lets put what we had done to our ride.

Me,

1. I changed the rear drum to disc.
2. Replaced the rubber hose at all four corners to stainless steel braided hose.
3. Changed the servo and master pump to E32 servo and master pump.
4. Used Textar brake pad.

The rest are still the original, even the disc are still the solid disc.

Item no. 1 and 2, doesn't have any significant improvement with the braking. But item no. 3 does have a BIG different. Item no 4 enhanced it a little bit more.
But bare in mind, this is the only upgraded things that i had done to my ride braking system and I'm happy with it cause it only used to stop the M40. However other sifu that already tried so many mod on their braking system can make better judgment on this.

thx strider for ur info.. i'm kinda used to the e30'spongy' brake feeling.. since nowadays only drive the e30 for weekend driving, so the upgrade is not a priority now i guess..

me took the same direction as bro strider, changed the rear to disc, chucked the rubber hoses n replaced them with braided hoses change the master pump and the brake pad...jurid (sigh) :)
