Dear masters,I've been told that m3 bodykit cannot be fitted on my soon-to-be-acquired 1984 2-door e30 without being modified by the knock shop. Anyone know where i can get this done? Just want to make sure I can change the look from the crome bumper..Was quoted 3800 for 2nd hand M3 ori bodykit. Too much for my budget... anywhere to get a similar thing cheaper?A lot of other things need to be done, dashboard, carpets, cushion etc. But first priority is the exterior.. I have a couple of weeks to do the homework before the purchase. Thks.

other option, u can look for fiberglass bodykit for your E30, it's pretty cheap.

Or here u go :nyehehe: E30 Bodykit

Anyway, where do your located?? We have TT at cheras, come to join us, we will show u our rusty E30

Excellent.. I'm definitely a zender 2 guy... he he..

Back to the question.. where do I get fibreglass bodykit? Also require knocking is it?

I'm located in Kota Damansara... when is your next TT session?

... the one that was quoted to me... I was told it was M3 bodykit (2nd hand)...

3k..???? its cheap la.

at least its stronger and less maintenance. Fibre wont last!!

mate if u dont want i want it... complete bodyparts issit? including the rear roof trunk? and boot lid?

p/s: as i quoted before m3 front bumper only already 6.3k!

Like i mentioned earlier, it's most probably MTEC bodykit instead of M3. Chopshop fellas often used the wrong terms.

This is hot stuff... is it difficult to get one of those bodykit?

I didn't actually look at it since I haven't got the car yet... but full set is what they said...

If I take it now budget says I might have to delay the purchase of the car... pretty silly isn't it? :D

Worst if the car gone to someone else...

But question remains... where to go for good knocking if I take the ori kits? and

If not the kits... where to go for the fibreglass..?

cheers

it's it's really M3 kit, it consist of the 2 front fenders, front bumper, rear bulged arches with fiberglass trunklit, rear windscreen and rear bumper.

Now do u still think u can get all those for 3k if it's M3 bodykit?

So it's definitely MTEC. Question is whether it's MTEC I or MTEC II.

not forgetting .....

the rear bumpers, mountings for the bumpers for the sides, rear quarter C pillars, rear shelf , inner C pillar mouldings, rubber inserts for bonnet, got summore cant remember liao

i hear that the M3 ori bumpers WILL not fit into the standard E30 body, some type of modifications must be done, or use parts from M3 chasis.....

but the most important parts are the interior,....if you dont have M3 interior putting an M3 bodykit wont make it look good at all period.......

good luck in finding the ever so rare interiors B)

yes, need to change the metal valence just below the headlamps. I was helping someone to do that. So I know.

Last i heard it was an Evo with the Evo bumper & front splitter & evo rear adjustable spoiler. The evo also has larger front wheel arches to acomodate larger wheels. I believe that he has a front splitter a spare. He might be tempted to sell it.

how much would you think that evo splitter would sell for.....also heard that its a original one, or could be the replica....?

also heard that the owner has a full set of M3 for spare, would he be tempted to sell those too....... :D :D

fabian, just asking....issit the passanger's glass on e30 same size with m3? from pictures, it looks e30's bigger than m3, seem m3 ones take more space on the rear roof trunk

btw how urs fren fitd em?

AFAIK, it's the same size. only the rear windscreen is different.
However, wil let the other sifus to offer u the answers.
