I can't think of any reason why I would want to rip up an expensive e90 and retrofit an aftermarket noise damping product.
Maybe it will help some lower end or older cars but my guess is that the advantage gained should not worth the risk and hassle of installing dynamat.
If installing dynamat will give you such a big reduction in NVH then BMW engineers and the car itself has serious problems and not worth the premium price that it commands.
Imagine buying a E90 and taking it to the workshop the next day to install dynamat because the car is too noisy (it has to be pretty bad for a person to shelf out additional $$$ to improve the car).
