Hi,Anybody try Dynamat extreme in their car? Please share your experience.any reduction in cabin noise? where you put? side doors, floor, bonnat etc. 3 or 5 series?much appreciated

Our premium items are equipped with noise damping properties far more superior than Dynamat Extreme, please don't bother to compare, you are lowering your standard.. :wink:

When u wash car, use your rubber hose and spray at our doors, or any part of your car and listen carefully. Compare to a JDM or local car, obvious differences..

Actually, a lot of BMWs in singapore are equipped with dynamet. U need to do a lot more research, bro. If u tap on the door, there is a lot of empty pockets!!it does work, all jay leno cars are equipped with dynamet . Malaysians r a bit behind the learning curve when it comes to this.

Jay Leno's car are all bear metal works from fabricators, absolutely raw. Anyway, Dynamat is one of the best after market NVH butyl material. Such material of course the more the merrier so, yes, additional layers of NVH does help. Go for it.. roof to bottom strip down to cover with this Dynamat Extreme should cost you no less than RM2.8k :wink:

Hi hi, u guys r missing out.

I just put on the four doors and front bonnat. It does wonders to the cabin ambience and comfort and sound system!!

What you guys r not aware is that BMW MALAYSIA has reduced a lot of padding and insulation to save cost. The older 3 series are much better padded. I just drove the 3 series sold in Singapore, the padding is so much better.

Go figure....Its BMW Malaysia that decides what to "pasang" on your car , not Germany !!!

The next 3 series F35 is gonna be lighter than the E90. Yaay.

Actually, Singapore E90's are South Africa mari cars. From our lay man inspection, it doesn't match up to the early batch Munich build CBU E90's we got here which BMW brought in, for both fit quality and chassis welding seams (similar to CKD welding seams). The Malaysia SKDs for the new LCI E90 now have the same chassis welding seams as the CBU Munich batch cars.

If you look at the sticker below the B pillar on driver side, Munich built cars proudly says "Made in Germany" while Singapore CBU E90's state something like "A BMW Product". I wonder how come they don't proudly print "Made in South Africa" on the sticker.. Hmm..

And IMO the E90 is quiet enough. A sports saloon that sounds like the inside of a Merc or Lexus isn't what I want my BMW to be.

Butyl is essentially Bitumin with higher heat tolerance properties.. again, I won't argue here like what IQ5 said earlier and take the package as it is.

Nobody beats Lexus when it comes to this noise damping topic, even their engine is wrapped from top to bottom with thick spongee material.

Able to listen to the E90 engine and exhaust node is part of the joy of owning the BMW because even that, there's a department in BMW AG to specially tune the pitch of each model to be unique, no 2 BMW models sound alike, go figure.

There's no end to additional layers to Butyl in the doors, some use more than 1 layer and eventually, might as well drive with ear mufflers.. (kidding here.. )

Maybe we are really missing something here but its alright and thanks for sharing with us.

Really? Yayy! I may be crazy but I wind the window down when I floor the pedal and enter the Penchala tunnel every morning, traffic permitting, just to hear the scream (roar? What would you call an E90 in full song, astroboy?) Wish I could afford performance Intake and exhaust mods.

Although I take it through the gears at full throttle once a day, my FC just dropped to 11.8 l/100km today! Double yayy! roud:

What's your average speed? Our friend's one is about 50kph, LIFE TIME AVERAGE!! that's mean including stationary at traffic light, waiting for people outside office, ALL COUNTED!!

Average FC I read so far for a E90 325i in the forum is 13.x. If I go spirited drive, I did about the same in my 4-potter..

My average speed is 38kph, yet I can only achieve 11.3L/100km in my 4-potter.. I think he never brake.. :listen:

Yes, it's true my average speed recorded since the showroom is now 49.2kmh. High, because I avoid jams. I've been known to park the car and go for a TT rather than sit in a jam. And I use highways as far as possible - the drop from 11.9 to 11.8 came after a run to KLIA yesterday.

Also, V-power is the only fuel I use. :wink:

.. and JV, when we say average speed, we mean speed as captured by your OBC as average which include your jam and stationary, and not your "average top/cruising speed". Use the OBC button to check your average speed. When I first collected my car, FC was 35L/100km and average speed is 6kph. That's because I think someone from the showroom run my engine and aircond and sleep inside the car.. :stupid:

Best do a reset and check the FC again on a fresh tank of fuel, highway this time at reasonable speed of no more than 160kph, our engine should be very relax and see how the reading goes..

JV88, your car is normal. Mine is around hovering around 14.2l/100km to 14.4l/100km.
