Bro, earlier better. I should have planned earlier. The experience will sap your energy so while u r still strong..... go for it.

Totally agreed. Energy you required to handle the babies/kids is more than you would originally expected. When you are old, you got "heart" but no more energy.

agreed with bro here, i forbid my wife and my newborn ever sit in front seat together. i told them i get f10 so i be come their servant, if you drive in highway long enough and witness the unnecessary death of infant you cringe everytime you see baby with mom on front seat.

rule #1 baby NEVER front seat always BACK only they are 6 year old with bolster they can sit front,

rule #2 get the babyseat that can hold the MAX load rear facing as long as possible so your baby can be rear facing its the most safest position . some britax can go to 16KG rearward facing.

in the end went with britax but britax us edition is hard to get here, tried even in singapore .

Good advice all around. I found that Singapore was pretty bad in terms of car seat choices, I probably found some better options here in KL than I did in SG although the best is probably US or Europe.

I used a few different Britax rear-facing models when my kids were newborn to ~1 year old, Recaro Young Sport up to around 5-6 years and Graco boosters most recently.

oh did i also mention that it will be near impossible to get toddler to sit still in the secured baby seat. Mission impossible.....but managed to wade through the experience.

how much is the britax/recaro with ISOfix??? roughly??? need to have some idea of how much they cost before i go hunting for them...

another question, what does is mean convertible???

convertible means it can first setup as rearward ( newborn -> 12kg ) then forward ( 12kg -> 16/18kg)

rearward means your new baby will cacoon face towards the seat. like egg ( best ! )

ya i only allowed my son to sit at the back since born and my wife is also at the back to take of it. For 6 years now, due to that, I look like driver now as none of them want to sit in front. Wat to do......

and i learn 1 more feature the other day
since i like to run errant like tapao , banking run with engine running and my both precious at the back. i take the FOB key out of car and lock it , the car still run with aircond but its locked.

sadly dun have ipad or tabled then.
Yes, car will run even if lock that way.
Luckily, now mine can lock it and when i want him to open, he knows what to do.

parenting sounds challenging....

i JUST bought the RECARO PRORIDE (ISOFIX) from mybbstore in one of their outlet in KJ earlier today

price is MYR1519.20, instead of RRP MYR1899++
took the midnight black (material is velvetish)
the other one which is available is Opal Blue (slightly different material)

P.S The outlet in KJ is on the lower floor,so you can easily park in front of the car and ask them to install it for you.

On my E90, locking the car from outside with the keyfob will engage the deadlocks ie. anyone from inside cannot unlock the car either by pressing the button or pulling the door lever and is effectively trapped. To be safe I only take the emergency key and lock the driver's door from the outside which still allow my kids to open the door if necessary.

Where are you buying the Britax? I actually brought the carseat down to the car to test it out. Since your wife is sitting at the back, can you move the front passenger seat forward?

i borught britax from a bb shop in USJ, the owner was good as i have lots of expectation on the car seat ( rearward facing max, versa teether is a must , cell protect ) he get me a few model till i am happy with the britax royale. sadly he went out of business soon after that. i think if you look at australia britax website all the model there can be found locally. i saw some shop selling britax at empire@subang , sunway .
i think empire was the best as there have 1 floor all baby / kids stuff same floor with toys 'r' us.

on the front seat i can move it front but when my parrent is here they want to seat with the baby thus it make 5 of us in the car .

Sorry was away for sometime.ive only fixed it forward facing as my son is big enough to sit front facing.
Never tried rear facing but from my observation shouldnt be a problem.
The guy at the shop installed it with seatbelts fasteners.when i RTFM later i reinstalled the seat with the ISOFIX fittings which is easier but could be tricky at first locating the bottom teether points.
Btw my car comes with top teether too.

How much u got urs???

Tot most (if not all) premium (even local and China models) branded baby car seats have the option. Are there many baby seats out there without the rear/front facing option?
