oligokoko;431387 said:1st of all, whut model is this? 2nd thing, frm my experience, gear monitoring probs can b solved with a gbox change. ori or recon will do. n also please reprogram d car after replacing d gbox, this apply to d gbox with an integrated CU inside d gbox housing. gear monitoring prob can b either mech or electrical prob.
d steps u have carried out is d right procedure before confirming 2 replace a gbox. d only thing tht u need to know is d workmanship done on ur gbox is good or not. if it is not, then its a waste. solenoids r usually b replaced together with d valvebody. wrong solenoid position at d valvebody also could lead 2 gbox probs. n i dun c d relavant of replacing d crankshaft sensor to solve this prob.
-have u tried 2 reprogram ur gbox CU?
-have they done a proper checking while removing d valve body? any visual damages 2 d gbox shafts?
-any signs of leaks/burned gbox oil?
-torque converter pressure enough?
-some ppl also say tht there is a Rotational speed sensor which monitors d input shaft's speed. this depends on ur gbox model n d parts 4 it is quite hard 2 get.
all of d above might b d possible cause or will lead u 2 another clue to solve ur prob.
happy troubleshooting!

oligokoko;431613 said:my advice is, just bring it over to any SC n check what is d fault code means. outside OBD might have different types n also different meanings 4 every faults. get 2 SC n ask 4 their opinion n get d diagnosis report. their fault codes r better 2 understand n most of d time more accurate
when there is no solution, replace d whole gbox or do as whut teejay sugggest.

the diagnostic tool in SC will pinpoint exactly what is wrong and with possible suggestions to fix the problem, these tools cost alot, thats why they charge accordingly too
SC usually have this kind of knowledge/experiences , no need to beat around the bush and start changing stuff based on your own knowledge or other people's suggestions
meanwhile, my suggestion to change car is unfair to the next owner, who would probably end up like our fellow forumer JOKER, who cursed and swears at the previous owner , so I suggest you fix it first then sell it ....
teejay;431672 said:your gb has the problem with or without the codes erased. FULL STOP
codes come out for a reason, means there is still a problem
read my first post and you will be enlightened, or else if you still insist on your own troubleshooting, then please go ahead and don't ask for anymore advise from the seniors......

teejay;431777 said:your latest post confirms the diagnosis of a failing TCU, soon you cannot shift into R
also better make sure you put on handbrake always cause the gb might just engage gear itself even if you put P or N , electronics can be very dangerous at times especially if it is sick.....no joke....
