I am considering buying a BMW as my next car, but can’t decide among these models, 320i (Luxury Line), 320d (Modern Line) and 520d.Will like to try a diesel car, but the 320d Modern Line does not comes with GPS which is highly desirable. If I buy the 520d which has the GPS, is it justifiable for an additional of more than 60K RM?Look forward to all your recommendations.

If you have a family go for the 5 series. If you are single then go for the 3 series. If you drive a lot and would like to save on fuel, then go for the diesel. The 5 series is definitely more spacious and comfy compared to the 3 series. Don't worry about the GPS. The BMW GPS is hopeless anyway and map is not as updated and difficult to search for places.

Get the 320d and install waze on ur smartphone. much cheaper option compared to that extra 60k right? over time u'd not need the GPS as u'd b enjoying ur ride more....thats all that matters.....

happy hunting!!

Personally, the GPS on the BMW isn't that fantastic. Cheaper to get the 320d and buy a nice Garmin :)

Ride and comfort = 5
FC = Diesel
Silent = Petrol

Also keep in mind, if avoiding roadtax constrains, 328 is essentially 2.0L.

BMW GPS = rubbish (hands down)

My vote = 520d. That thing's a masterpiece.

Go for 520d and if you can wait for lets say another 8Months ... you can get the LCI :rock:

I can wait for 8 months. What is LCI?

btw, for the additional to get the F10, its actually worth it.... first u have adaptive suspension, sound insulation is much better, you actually get a proper idrive, damn good family car......
cons...... parking, trying to change lanes, tight situation.

with its integral active steering, parking and changing lanes are actually much easier with the F10 (I'm comparing it with E60. not sure how it fares with the 3 series though).

Don't think the F10 520d comes with integral active steering.

Last few batch E60 525 comes with integral active steering and HUD plus comfort access.

Do you think it worth the additional 60K RM compared to 320d?
