Hi, I've got my ride from AB pre owned selection and it has 1 year left on BSRI coverage from the date it was registered. I'm keen to mod the car with getting the LCI lights and white LED angel eyes-would this void the warranty ? Also does anyone know how much Eurotuner charge for these upgrades ?

There are quite a thread discussing this and this i copy from one of them.in fact i think this was copied from the BMW Malaysia Website.

"Benefits of BMW Service + Repair Inclusive at a glance:

- Change of engine oil (not including top-ups).
- Service / replacement of air filters, microfilters, spark plugs, brake fluid.
- Brake pads, front and rear.
- Brake disc, front and rear.
- Clutch (worn only).
- Windscreen wiper blades as part of routine maintenance.
- Vehicle check and standard services as set out in BMW service booklet in owner's documentation
(chapter : Maintenance summary, Vehicle check).
- Repairs beyond warranty covered during programme period.

Valid at any BMW Authorised Service Workshop, provided it is still within the 3-year validity period, or 60,000km.
-
Transferable to your car's next owner, provided it is still within the 3-year validity period, or 60,000km."

And as for warranty thingy.hard to say.grey area.SA can say no problem but in any case,there is no black and white saying this is ok and not.
Up to you whether it is worth


For the Eurotuner charge of course you can directly ask Calvin of Eurotuner in the Vendor Zone.

I find many still confused over BSRI and warranty.

There are 2 separate things. Warranty is against manufacturer's defect and BSRI is to cover the maintenance of a handful of specific condition based wear and tear items, which has nothing to do with warranty.

Manufacturer Defects, go to Tribunal even if its already more than 3 yrs and or more than 60K km ..... :top:

Yes spot on! But max claim is only rm25k

Trust me, if it goes to Tribunal, they will try their level best to come to a compromise before it goes to that level. They cannot afford to risk having a Total Recall .... if you know what I mean ... :4:

Oh yes ... Pressure ... Now I wonder if I should take that route for my car problems? Hehehehe ...

I have bro but only if you are willing to have your car stranded at the workshop for a certain period of time ... go for it :top:

Positively thinking, for the love of our car and (to maximise our investment), its basically all about "improvement and way forward". I believe BMW too wants the feedback to make better their cars and at the most cost effective manner as it will impact the propect of their (global) business ...

Prez ... in Malaysia BMW selling us crap and AB giving crap service la. My new diff dah bunyi lagi la. Pegi kat AB boss kata "Dun worry, no prob, we will sort if out." KNN ... 7 months old car masuk workshop hampir 20 hari dah. Still got issues ... Comfort Access la ... dah service 2 kali ... masih ada problem. What is BMW doing? Nothing la ... kata aje MERIAH ... JOY. But we only say, that is how it's like to won a BMW? Come on la ... why some wanna make so many excuses when there is a need to provide us a fair vehicle for so much that is paid. Lately, my left DRL also no light, mechanic check says output from the source no electricity. Wait some more for AB to settle it la ...

I believe its time you go to the consumer a file an official complaint :frown: .... btw, which AB did you go to, Glenmarie I suppose.

Yeah, tot so. There are 3 AB's in Klang Valley. Glenmarie, Sg Besi and AB KL ... I hv mine sent to AB KL each time ... :top:

Prez ... I am happy with Ingress but when got major issues, I go to AB Glenmarie because I want them to hand me the courtesy car. Screw them la ...

You can always go to AB KL or any other outlet you deem worhty of their services ... not necassarily to go back to Glenmarie when you hv major issues. ..
 
AB SC no good? can complain directly to their rep on our annual dinner day.. any rep from them? :4:
