Checked with the Malaysian importer, a Mr KC Tey. This is his response:

"With 80 pellets in the tank, the BMW Club Malaysia Forum guy(if he is the one who bought the Broquet) should have a big kick up hihs pants. Unless he has bought an imitation!!! Please check where he bought it from. I have over the past year received offers of other brands who claim to be as effective as Broquet but of course we know that the ORIGINAL fuel catalust is none other than Broquet. As you well know , all Broquet authorised dealers carry an UNCONDITIONAL 30 DAYS MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. Therefore if this guy bought the Broquet from an authorised dealer I would suggest that he go back to the dealer to check what's wrong.

We have recently successfully closed our biggest deal to date-Ho Hup Construction Company Bhd, a publicly listed construction company have commissioned us to install Broquet into 118 units of various types of construction equipment including the following

a) 58 units Hino 10 wheeler tipper lorries
B) 10 units Caterpillar and Hitachi Hydraulic Excavators
c) 4 units Cateroillar Wheel loaders
d) 6 units Caterpillar Motor Graders
e) 2 units Kato Mobile cranes

The main reasons for Ho Hup to fit out their fleet is due to the fact that the above fleet is bound for Madagascar where Ho Hup has recently secured a RM200million World Bank funded roadworks project-fuel costs in Maddagascar is 3 times that in Malaysia. Additionally Broquet will be able to reduce downtime and maintenace costs ,both of which are VERY CRUCIAL for any business especially contractors.

Anyway, back to the BMW Forum. We have many satisfied BMW owners who are users of Broquet.BTW< we have decided to give a 10% discount for members of the BMW Club from now up to Chinese New Year. Anyone interested please call us or any of our authorised dealers.

Ichi, firstly, thanks for being the mouth piece of Mr KC Tey.

Secondly, I assure you and him that I've got original Broquet. In fact, I purchased them HIS distributor (in Singapore).

I've heard from that friend of mine that they're thinking of changing the Malaysian distributor, so, is Mr Tey the original one or the new one?

Thirdly, I would like to re-iterate my findings, as you and Mr Tey both seem very sceptical; BROQUET DOES NOT ADD ANY PERCEIVABLE POWER FOR ME. PLEASE READ MY EARLIER POSTING FOR MY FULL OPINION ON BROQUET.

Finally, I believe that this should be the end of your (that's "you", Ichi) trying to refute my findings. You asked for user's comments, so you got mine. Why you should then try to play down my findings, I honestly have no idea, since they are honest and relevent. If the BMW Club community should then choose to heed my comments, well, I can only say caveat emptor to them.

From what I've through car mags a buddy gave me from the UK, tests done there shows no perceptible difference in terms of power and fuel economy. Could be just a psychological thing...

It was also mentioned that classic cars fitted with Broquet can run on unleaded petrol continuously, but tests done by Classic Car seem to differ and eventually the engine showed signs of valve seat recession...

Ichi, hey, since you're so chummy with the Malaysian distributor, why don't you ask him for an explanation as to why I ain't getting no "big kick up my pants" even though I've got EIGHTY, ORIGINAL pellets in my fuel tank leh?

I most commnonly use Shell V-Power, maybe that's why?

Personally, I've spoken to my Singaporean distributor friend (Mr Tey's distributor), and he's of the opinion that they work better for those who pump lower quality (ie. octane) fuel.

I mean, it's not just me that experienced no difference, the more "senior" forummers will know S6 and Speedrat, and both those dudes have also got 80 pellets in their cars, and they similarly report little to no (ie. psychological) difference.

So, just get over it, ok? I'm glad it works a treat for you, Ho Hup, and whoever else who's got them installed, but it still does not change the fact that it DOES NOT work for me, S6 and Speedrat.

I was just curious as to why they do not work for you. BTW, what model do you drive.

Could be true about V-power reducing the impact of the broquet.

Exactly what I was after. In the end, I think I understand why it didn't work for some.

The idea behind broquet is to improve the combustibility of fuel. It works very well with the normal fuels but does not improve the combustibility of higher quality fuels like v-power. You can only squeeze so much from petrol. So, in the end we did learn something.

As I'm sure you lot out there would've noticed, I only got "annoyed" when Ichi kept insisting that Broquet is the best thing since sliced bread, in the face of my overwhelming experience to the contrary.

I really wanted to leave it at that, but hey, he had to get Mr Tey involved, and thus trigger another round of "it should give him a kick up the pants", but hey "it does not".

Which is silly.

Then I go and lose my cool. Which is silly too.
(and suspect that Ichi here is more than just an innocent forummer? I mean, dude, you ARE pushing this product pretty damn hard, no?)

Anyhows, if you guys out there decide to give it a go, caveat emptor.

So conclusion would be that you can save a few sen per litre of patrol by using a lower grade petrol for the same power. The savings then goes into the catalyst cost. Basically false savings unless it keeps working well for several years. :unsure:

Actuall every products have their own strenght, if not impossible those products can survive.....cos i do believe consumer is NOT stupid! It just the matter that either ur car condition or engine is suit to that product or not. Example i do try the air injecter in my previous Wira which really save me 20% fuel n increase power as well. But diff thing happen to my fren Wira which i recommend him to have a try......end out we noticed that our wira have a diff engine,mine is caburator engine n his is injection engine......clarify wit mech n he told us that is really make a diff,at the same time, the engine condition also will make a diff as well as driver driving style.......So guys, conclusion is diff car condition will make a diff result for the same product!
