I am just wondering if there is anyone here willing to sell their 4.6is at a reasonable price and can anyone tell me what is a reasonable price at that?
4.6is has sports suspension as well as 20'' wheels. This makes the ride a little more bumpy on uneven roads. i guess this is a trade-off with having better handling, like what most sports cars do.
Getting smaller tyres, like 17'' will soften the ride but at the expense of having a sporty aggressive looking sports SUV!
IMHO the King of the road BMW SUV is the upgraded model to the 4.6is, which is the one and only 4.8is!!
4.6is 347 BHP
4.8is 360 BHP
4.8is drinks less petrol as well cos it has 6 speed gearbox!! 4.6is is a 5 speed box.
Wow, you don't seem to don't know anything else about X5, ops.sound confusing, rephrase...You indeed understand X5 in and out, what else you don't know about X5 ah??
One question, can i tune the current self leveling suspension slightly softer?
p/s do you normally sit infront of computer thru out the night?? your last reply was 4:39AM......
I am a bit of a night bird thats why I am on the computer late at night. cguru:
As far as I know, the Self leveling suspension can only be adjusted to different ride hights and not hard or soft.
i assume u have a button inside your car that gives your the choice of 3 settings:
Normal:
Standard setting applicable to most operating conditions. Including towing.
Off road:
Increase height for more ground clearance.
Access:
Lowers vehicle for more convenient cargo loading or easier passenger entries and exits.
The systems Self-leveling feature automatically compensates for variations in the cars load.
The X5 self leveling suspension is exactly the same system as in the Range Rovers of similar years.
ah I see, then no chance to get a softer ride, have to live with it lo, anyway, I love the road holding, is better than E280 advangarde. Beside stiff ride, no regret. Btw MercuryF1, do u join any of the TT?

Just curious, do you have sport seats or comfort seats in your ride? Some may argue that comfort seats, as the name implies, absorbs all the bumps better (compared to sports seats) hence a 'softer' ride.. :106:
I'm from Penang so little chance to join any TT in KL!
