I second this motion!

:listen: ... if everyone is willing to come up with some funds to subsidise, I dont see why not. We can put in the pipeline for this year programme. I will discuss it with the committee soon. It might not happen so soon but rest assured we will try to work something out. ...:4:

Can always do one but the SIC track fees is a bomb on weekends. i think something like RM15k for halfday... Unless we do it on a weekday ie Friday..

But then, have heard that different ppl ask, different price. True to the Malaysia Boleh spirit.... haha. So anyone got thick cable to ask the boss directly???

To organise a private track day will cost quite a bit of money as Fabian mentioned.

There is something in the pipeline by BMW Malaysia, details will be announced soon if everything works out well.

15k for whole track? I think that's quite ok. If we can get 30 people that's 500 bux each for a private day! As for cable I think lama lama we do this we'll slowly start getting discounts...

Stig, we have tried to get club members to go for track events but all sorts of excuses will come out.. but drive like Schuey wannabe on club drives.. hahaha.. Frankly speaking, it's safer to drive on track than on public roads.

Only a handful went for HPC events, and they loved it... Even our lady member Raz came driving her Z4 on sepang with the top down.. hahaha..

And if indeed wanna organise a private track day, deposit or full payment is a must.. If not, u'll have ppl FFK in the last week leading to the event.

15000 for 4 hours on weekend.

If can get 100 car, then it cost 150 each.
If can get 50 car, then it cost 300 each.

Look like weekday is more viable.

btw fabian, how much for weekdays?

Not sure.. Even 15k figure was an old figure.. not sure if it's still the same..

Some of the 320d boys and me went for the Quill Track day at Sepang over the weekend. It was a very successful event with over 80 people participating and most of them enjoyed the track day with cars provided by Quill. Only a few of us brought our own cars on the track. According to the organizers, most people are not willing to track their own cars.

The track was full that day, we had to share the track with the HPC big boys but with separate track sessions. It was fun and really enjoyable. You don't have to push the car hard to enjoy the track day. Too bad no overtaking was allowed for the Quill session.

Yup, googled it and it IS 30k. Sad that we only have 2 tracks in Malaysia, sepang and pasir gudang...

or we could just have something similar like the merc concourse event. Just share some love for BMW. i.e Bimmer Fest
