If you were a true BMW enthusiast you should be wearing a German watch not a Swiss watch! :p

Nautische Instrument Glashutte is the poor man's version of the Glashutte Original.

For the prices of a Lange & Sohne, it will remain a dream for many (including myself).

This is my 2nd BMW.. why BMW? Because of its 50/50 chassis weight balance making it one of the sweetest car to throw around bends.. do I have another option? Yes! Miata MX5 or RX7 or RX8 or even AE86.. :p Well, I needed a 5 seater 4 door for my family of 4, so that lead me no choice but to fork out RM20k for down payment and take up RM200k loan.

Now back to Rolex. So what does it do apart telling time?! Still trying to figure out why paying the extra. I am still wearing a Seiko which I think the time it tells not much different from Rolex..

proton takes u from a to b. bmw takes u from a to b too.

seiko tells the time. rolex tells the time too. :)

And if you think that way, this thread is not for you.

P.S. See how it rhymes

Someone in this forum just bought a rare PAM 0. I told him can shiok and wear it, take good care of it, then when bosan, sell it and make some $$$. Already when he took delivery of his PAM, he had firm offers of ~Rm1k premium from what he paid for it. Can't do that with Seiko's. Not all PAM and Rolex'es appreciate well, but if you are fortunate to get a high demand low production model at dealer price, thats the best route to go! Problem is finding the jalan to get one in the first place...

Hehe... obviously watch to some is more than telling time. Its an investment with an anticipation of capital appreciation.

Heck! I don't even replace my battery on time and allow battery to leak and kill the watch.. :p Better don't spend to much on watches.. :p

Time to get yourself a mechanical watch then :). Winding it up and adjusting the time each time u wanna use it can be quite therapeutic as long as its not a complex movement which calculates, dates and leap years movements etc. Those can take up to 30-45 mins to set each time u wanna use them kaka.

I was walking around HK the other day and found a little store selling preowned watches. Lots of Panerai watches going for as low as RM15k.... There was also a nice Jaeger Lecoultre Master Compressor there as well... yummy..... also around the high teens price range...

Guilty here!
Nothing to do with lolex or bmw in particular, whenever i reached home i will quickly get the watch off my wrist but i just can't leave home without my watch on my wrist.

with sheer luck, won a Bremont watch (COSC certified) worth RM11.5k, thanks to Visa
but want to get rid of it. Not my type of watch, anyone interested?

If you are a Panarai owner, then what are you doing with BMWs. You should be driving Lambos and Ferraris.
