This is my 2nd BMW.. why BMW? Because of its 50/50 chassis weight balance making it one of the sweetest car to throw around bends.. do I have another option? Yes! Miata MX5 or RX7 or RX8 or even AE86.. :p Well, I needed a 5 seater 4 door for my family of 4, so that lead me no choice but to fork out RM20k for down payment and take up RM200k loan.

Now back to Rolex. So what does it do apart telling time?! Still trying to figure out why paying the extra. I am still wearing a Seiko which I think the time it tells not much different from Rolex..

...but wearing a seiko potrays you as a blardy cheapskate BMW owner...who after buying the car cannot afford to buy a decent watch.....hahhahhahahhahahahhaha

XXX,

LOL! Guess I'd fall into that category then! Daily wear is a Seiko Monster Diver in Orange these days! It has even relegated my trusty Seamaster Professional to 2nd spot. Aiming for a Seamaster Planet Ocean in Black but the prices are still quite high at the moment. Sorry, never was a Rolex man and probably never will be as there are better value proposition at that price range.

Regards,
VaN.

I am a collector of BMWs. Lack of space does not permit me to have too many at any one time.

I am also a watch collector and there is a Rolex in my collection.

My daily driver is an E90 which is a great car for my daily commute. I self drive.

My daily wear is a Tag Heuer Aquaracer Grande Date. It is a hardy everyday watch. It has never skipped a beat and it goes well with what ever the occasion or dress.

Aiyaa.. if really want to wear Rolex, I can get one from Pasar Malam and who dare to say its a fake when I'm commuting in a BMW?! :D :D

If I want "status", I would have gone for a Merc (boring!).. BMW is all about handling and fun of driving and those only associate BMW with nothing else but "status", sorry to tell u you have spend your money on a wrong car!

Is "status" = "show off" ?

For those collector, don't get me wrong, you collect Rolex is pure hobby, I doubt it has anything to do with wearing them to an alumni reunion just to show "I'm more successful than u".. right!?

BMW & Rolex? What a boring match. We prefer another better match ... BMW & New girlfren, heheheee.

I do like watches and do have sort of a collection but I cant say the same for my passion for cars. Being practical I only own 1 car. My daily watches are a square faced carbon fibre momo and an anonimo cronoscopio

What if the person can afford a BMW, can afford a Rolex but cannot afford to service the rolex at the authorised service centres?

Ooo...i'd rather service my car in a reputable unathorised centre but not my rolex eventhough its more expensive than servicing cars...
