yeap,.. BKT go Silk Road China makan Bah kut teh their are my buddy :yahoo: me go bottom of the world riding in Forgotten Highway :)

Gas wombat,

if you travel alot on highways, then a sports tourer would be a good choice to look at

most BMw 2 wheelers are made like that anyway, if i do get one i'd probably go for a funduro

hondas - vtr1000f-i think only 9 bikes here in kl ( quoted by ex-owner) , vfr800, or ultimately a goldwing

fireblade,
me going to racun you big time, and will bribe naza2 to bring his evil twin, or maybe his other evil twin.......hehehehe!!!!

teejay,

Wahhhh, I can feel the poison coming on strong. Tell you what, why dont you & naza2 show me your bikes. I was actually contemplating going back to off-road bikes - sold my KDX-200 last year and have been out of action. Off-roading is very challenging and much safer than road riding. So, I shall mix my racun for you guys.

Yes, yes !!! Enduro / trail riding is heaps of fun !! Time to get back on the "saddle" with a new bike. Lots of new 2005 bikes out already ... :D

TJ,
What's your view on the maintenance cost of the Funduro ?

koryong,

funduro, depends on year of manufacture and the abuse it has gone through

i believe there were lots that went through cross country, but some weekend rides only

try to do a search on the history of the owners if you can
other then that, older funduro pqarts dont come fast, but it was built like a tank......
takes alot of pounding to break into pieces.....

i think mid 90s can be had for 15k

fireblade,

i'm hooked on vtwins, nothing can poison be except another more powerful evil twin....kekeke

guess you could hook up with ridrahim (ridzuan,ex-awana kaki also, you may know him...) he is into dirt bike as well

hey....why all, or most bikers tend to convert or revert to bmws?

a few of ex-kosas also into sports riding

teejay.. u should try the rsv factory. a lot cheaper than the ducs with most of the accesories. think full ohlins.

or even better: get a 749R race trim. hmmmm...

i like the bmw boxer. pretty sexy and toned down.

TJ,

So, looks like you go for twins onlylah - how bout the RC51 with the factory kit? U can whack all the ducs plus everything else on the road.

For me, just having a used off-road bike is good enough - after all its meant for rough use. Not worth it to buy a new 250 bike which can cost up to RM40k for weekend riding only. Still have the passion for Sportbikes but to think of the high prices & maintenance makes it out of reach for the timebeing.

Can some1 identify what BMW mo0tor was used in the movie "What A Girl Wants"?

Pretty cute bike...

Been scouting in APAC for BMWs on auction.. none so far, but there has been couple of Harleys
:D

datuk,

i have sqeen some auction bikes, eg aprilias, hondas, but yet a bmw, but loads of bmw cars.......

maybe bmw bike owners far loaded then the bmw drivers.........hmmm

nzf,

wah......racun big time la u.......!!!!!
i heard the factory R up on the way to awana sumtime back, seems quite tame, dunno if there is an after market slip-on, but the CF on the bike is soooo droooling..........

748, way out of my league, i'm not into track alot, prefer leisure cruise, with occasional cecah lutut......!!!

fb,
i agree, thats why i try to conserve tire wear....by hardly riding.......hehehe, but kinda dangerous too if i ride like once in 3 weeks.....have to get the feel and confidence back after awhile

yep, the rc51, another dream machine of mine.......
also known as sp-1, and sp-2 ........u heard the aftermarket on these........way cool, but still a notch below the desmotronic machines, still love that thrashy roughy all over the place racket..........macho sound babe!!!!!
