Which means, plus the duties is the cost of car nett without distributor mark up yet; &gt;1,800 - Total Duties 150.25% &gt;1,800 - 2,000 - 2,500 - 3,000 - Total Duties 221.75% So, an example would be the AUDI A4 B7 2.0TFSI at CIF is RM 107,040 + Total Duties (157.40%) of RM 168,480.96 would mean the car nett at CIF would be RM275,520.96 By the time the mark up comes in would be around RM300,000 to RM310,000, assuming about RM30,000-RM40,000 mark up. The worse hit would be the Audi TT 1.8T as at 2006 prices, it&#039;s only RM85,105. Even with duties of RM 127,870.26, total CIF would only be RM212,975.26. EM sells theirs at RM290,000+.
