Guys am currently based overseas, as such am not able to contact the local BMW centers in Malaysia, hope you can help enlighten me, am thinking of getting the 5 series (really love the 528 but above budget, so will probably go for the 523, but man do I really love the 528)...I hear that they are going to launch the M Sport version some time mid 2011 in Malaysia. Does anyone have any info on this....i.e:1) Will they launch M Sport version of the 523i and 528i2) what would be added on to the base unit (eg. will there be paddle shifts added)?3) Any rough ideas on the additional we have to pay for the M Sport versions4) Can any one confirm when they will launch the M Sport versionAppreciate any feed back you can provide. Thanks

I believe the news of BMW F10 accessories will be release in end March in tandem with the launch of the new BMW X3 and Mini Countryman as well (hopefully).

Some of the prices are available like the M Sport Spoke 351, etc. Will know more till end March or April 2011. Hope that helps.

I have seen F10 528i on the road but not MSport though.. didn't know they brought in 528i [N53B30] for F10.. I thought there's only 523i [N53B25] and the 535i [N55B30].

While reading a bit more in the Wiki... some astonishing discovery.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_N53

"BMW does not plan to put the N53 engine for sale in Australian and North American models due to the high sulphur content of the fuel available in these markets."

so is our 2M petrol sulphur content high or low?

:13:

our 528i is the N52B30. bmw's findings are that our fuel not suited to normally aspirated direct injection engines, but turbo direct injection engines OK because of different kind of swirl pattern in the combustion chamber or something, i don't remember exactly. grey import E60 buyers beware, most of the facelift 525i and 530i you see are from the UK and use the N53, and whatever reasons bmw has not to bring the N53 in will apply to those cars.

I've been informed that the "sports" ver will be out in Aug this year.
While pre-regs will be available in April.

I saw a M-sport kitted 535i on Saturday. WVB 66. Space Grey. Even down to the wheels.

520d have an upgrade kit and that is applicable to 320d too. 380nm to 420nm!

Taken from BMW, "The BMW Performance Power Kit for the BMW 520d with manual transmission greatly enhances the superb performance of your engine. The package consists of software and hardware components that mesh together perfectly for optimum results. The increase in power achieved by modifying the engine data map also leads to increased cooling requirements. A bigger intercooler is also included in the kit, in addition to the new engine data map. The result is an increase in power from 135 to 147 kW and an increase in maximum torque (from 380 to 420 Nm) saving 0.5 s from 0 to 100 km/h translating to 0.8 s (in 4th gear) or 1.0 s (in 5th gear) between 80 and 120 km/h. Top speed rises by 7 km/h."

not just a simple remap... the kit comes with a stronger radiator fan and a bigger intercooler.

Yup. I know. It states that there is hardware is included in the upgrade, a larger intercooler. Just saw your posting in your blog too. :)

Quill has told me that is a proper grey import.

something tells me that the parallel import changed the bumper himself, the car doesn't look like a genuine m-sport, the headliner isnt in anthracite for a start
