For the E90 series? Unlikely if this generation is being retired soon. Better if its for the next gen. Then maybe we'll get the 330d/335d next. :)

Doc, have you test-drive any 325d in your oversea trip? How's the vibration and noise level compare with 320d four? just marginally or significant better?

No morrogan bro, did not have a chance to test the 325d or 330d. would love to though! stiill the Powerkit gives us 201hp while the 325d only 196hp-go for the kit!! Yummy........

according to paultan's blog dated july 2

'The oil burner 525d has also got 2 cylinders lopped off but it gains one extra turbocharger – it is now powered by a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine with two turbos, an engine that was previously only found in smaller cars like the 123d. The new four cylinder 525d makes 218hp and 450Nm of torque.'

so which is which ..2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 ?

So many different engines nowadays TI-tan...wait and see which one BMW Malaysia brings in. But true, they are making more 4 cylinders these days. Even read of a 1 cylinder turbo engine recently! Haiyo!

AFAIK BMW only has inline 4 2.0l and inline 6 3.0l diesel engines. They come either with single turbo (2.0l in the 120d, 320d, 520d) or twin scroll turbo (2.0l in the 123d and X1 23d). For the inline 6 options it's the single turbo (330d, 530d, 730d, X5 30d) and twin scroll turbo (335d, X5 35d) as well.

Unfortunately for us the single turbo option works on Euro 2/3 fuel but the twin scroll turbodiesel only works on Euro 4/5 diesel fuel only. So from my layman's understanding our only options would be the 320d, 520d, X5 30d, 730d (all already here) and the 120d, 330d etc.

Will hear the latest news from BMW Malaysia Marketing Head this Monday! Will keep you guys posted!

I think diesel is the way to go :) The torque is amazing and makes city driving a hell lot better plus fun. Now I'm so tempted to get these E90 diesel, haha
