So, who's knows this Shahrul Izzat Sulaiman?? He just won the 116i from the NST reader's and subscriber's contest man!! One lucky lucky very fortunate SOB :lol: Someone invite him to the club man.... never seen the inside of the 1! :dunno: Racun the bloke to mod his car like the Crazy 1 by Hartge! :nyehehe: :nyehehe: :nyehehe:

Yea lah, damn lucky lah !! how come I can never be that lucky ah... yes if anyone can get in touch with him, would be great to have him in the club..
 
He said that he's giving the car to his parents ... as written in the papers. Still studying laa the guy
 
118i is around rm200k. tts y u seldom see this car on the road. too expensive!!
 
with the new multi link rear suspension,N46 Valvetronic II engine, this little car grips the road like a magnet, tho the interior may look simple and not as elegant compare with other models.

this car kick ass !! don't mess with the 1 series, especially the 120i which comes with the sport suspension.. even better. The 118i and the 120i are actualy equip with the same engine / same engine capacity, just that the compression ratio and DME are different.

i have very strong sense that this car will become a very rare collector's item in 20 years to come, something like the E24.

who knows how the car will look like in 20 years time and run flat tyre will comes standard in every car in future....certainly a price that worth paying for
 
darn it....here i am kena racun to buy a 116i and this guy wins one for himself!!!

Had a ride in a 116i last Sunday. I must say it rides a lot better than the 120i (which comes with sport suspension). The 116i's refinement level was quite good too.
 
wglee... compared to its competitors? How does the 116i own up? Say against... VW Golf or Alfa 147?? :)

I have not driven the present generation Golf. Neither have I driven the 116i - I was only a passenger! As for the 147, I tested the 2.0 years ago when it first hit Malaysian shores - I recall it was an enjoyable drive.

i'll bling my vw golf 1.6fsi, if someone else can bling the A147 and the 116i for a comparo.
 
If not mistaken 116i is the only (or 1 of few) manual offering from AB, right? I heard good reviews aside from the slow engine and tight packaging. Comparing to Golf and 147, well the 116i is RWD, to some that is all that matters :lol:
 
KE70 rox! 116i or Golf might have carry too much safety that spoil the fun.

seriously telling you man...the 120i is fun,even with the ATC ON!!.I like the Tranny ECU.clever thing from BMW. :)
 
As for GOLF, I still love the MK1. Dun be angry ah , Ah Lian.
Your Golf is fun...its fast..it's a good day to day car ,it's safe..its cool. But not my type of CAR leh. Soly..soly...
 
As for the Alfa 147...ask OSflanker. Tested at PNDC. Love the oversquare engine sounds...awesome.

but....but...I love the Afla Sud and 155 twin spark more then 147.

Now I offer shootout at PNDC. How??? Anybody with 116i,against Ah Lian VW Golf and can someone bring a Alfa 147???I'll take the Toyota Hatchback 1.6 as pace car.Dun left out the Honda hatchback too...they are fast man...really fast.!!!

1.6 shootout..!!!
