Guys just wanna share with you on the A/T leak after purchasing my E46 3 weeks ago.

- Did a major service and an A/T oil change when i got the car, color = kopi-o-kau- Since it was leaking, got it check and drained out the A/T oil = color kopi-o- below is what they(Metro Car Care @ USJ 19) did to my car:-Labour to replace A/T Filter, A/T Gasket & A/T Fluid Assy. = RM 120.00Oil Seal, A//T Lever = RM 40.00A/T Gasket = RM 179.00A/t Fluid (RM 65 x 7) = RM 455.00A/T Fliter = RM 125.00GearBox Mounting = RM 55 x 2 (RM 110.00)Total = RM 1,029.00 + 5% gov tax :eek:Any idea how many mountings they are on driving shaft?
 
no mountings on driveshaft. only have mounting on the long shaft (or ppl also call it propeller shaft). this shaft is to transfer d rotation from gbox to d rear differential. there is only 1 mounting, which is also called d center bearing. pls do check d center bearing. u will know this part need replacement when there is a vibration when accelerating n d vibration can be feel from below of d center part of d vehicle. in between d gbox n d long shaft also there is a rubber coupling, which d function is almost similar 2 d center bearing. recommend 2 change it in 1 go bcoz less labour charge will b imposed due to d problem is at 1 place.

My gearbox sprunk a leak at the main hydraulic pump at 100K Km. Have to replace the pump after the copper ring at the pump was damaged. The gearbox mounting was also damaged and the misalignment caused the torque converter to be slightly worn out. Luckily didnt have to overhaul the whole gearbox.

your price is reasonable. Just make sure that the ATF is original. i.e. white bottle type.

Hi Oligo, how much approx to change these parts? I got this deep vibration feeling (??) when my car is running above 80km/h.

Mileage was at 150,000km.. when i got the car, its now 160,000kms...

Ok will keep this friendly advice in mind, once kappoot i'll do them all at once.. Yeap its with the white bottle, the earlier changed was Vaico(blue bottle).. well it says Made in Germany so.. i used that :eek:

dear zammie,

u need to check which part of it tht makes d vibration. if it is from d center, mayb d center bearing koyak oredi. if d whole car, then it might b problem wif ur tyres or suspension system. i'll get back 2 u d price 4 d center bearing yeah
 
rm 334.80 for center bearing, 20 bucks for clips, screw n etc and rm 498.85 for d rubber coupling. this is SC's price n not including labour
