The CD contains sound samples to be used for testing, calibrating and tuning your system. It is best used in conjunction with an RTA but many installers will use their ear.

I should let you guys sample some of the CDs burnt by Simon for me. It's totally awesome. He can turn a WMV repro into a CD that's better than the original. Here's how it works.

Valve CD player > 24 bit/ch D/A > Valve unit > Valve pre-amp > audiophile CD recorder 1:1 speed all the way.

Flat all the way but the valve trickery provides the warmness that's missing in normal recording. Instruments that you never hear will suddenly appear magically. Vocals are crisp and clear. The only problem is that once you have listened to his processed CDs, normal CDs just sound like crap. *sigh* Now who wants to share a recording studio at home?

Erica34, remember some of those CDs I shared with you in my old car? You thought the insect field in the track was actually coming from outside.. hee hee

the entire file size is uber HUGE! hahah..duno which 1 to download if download the songs individually..guess we'll have to try..well..there's also a readme file of some sort showing the tracks and their descriptions or so..guess i'll look dat up..thanks for the link dude!

puzzling but seriously off topic.
How come something that is already lost, signal-wise, reappears after going through valve processing.
Isn't this similar to having an EQ to boost up certain frequencies?
