Audi A4 2.0 quattro

I know it may seem inappropriate (to the extend sacrilegious) to ask about AUDI over here, so please don't stone me for attempting to do so. Anyway....here's the story. I was offered a well-maintained pre-owned 2009 Audi A4 2.0 quattro S-line by a friend at RM230,000. I kind of like it BUT I like the all new F30 a little more!...more so for the fact that the F30 is fresh from the oven, so to speak. Hence my dilemma, pay RM230k for the Audi or spend an extra RM40,000 for the BMW 320d. Can anyone here please share your experience, pleasent or otherwise, with this particular Audi model and whether the RM230,000 price tag is considered a steal? If it is then, I'll take the Audi and forget about the F30, at least for the time being. Or do you think the BMW 320d is still a better choice (please elaborate the reasons) over the A4 quattro?

BMW 320d is much better. if you had audi, the problem you will be possibly will encounter was finding Audi Parts for it. Its not that hard but most if them are too pricey than the original price.

c2 ...the Audi is already 3 years old. The F30 is new and comes with warranty etc. The 320d has great mileage and tons of torque, however, as with all new BMWs, will the F30 be free of quirks? In the same manner will the Audi drag you down with repairs due to it being second hand? Apples and oranges. If you find the 320d as something you will be happy with then I say take a new car over an older one. Still the Audi will out perform the 320d.question is what do you want out of a car?

Oh yeah ... 230K for the Audi is not that great a price. It's only so so, at 210k ... That would be a good buy.

Bring it down to 200k or 210K then bring it home..else buy urself a F30 320d....beware the engine oil consumption problem on most 2.0T Audi/VW vehicles...Having said that, both the B8 and F30 size are now comparable. If you were to compare a B8 with E90, you are better off buying the B8.

c2 ... Just took my E90 325 up Genting via Ulu Yam, she is awesome. You gotta try the B8 like that then see which car delivers what you want. Some want prestige and comfort, some want performance and handling. So like I said, what do you want?

However,........The audi is growing to be a little bit dated now. Even with the new FL I think it is morphing into a persona look alike.

BUT.......I have driven the audi 2.0T Q and my impression of it has an excellent gearbox. Good handling, being a quattro, will give the BMW a hard time in corners. For a size and weight of the audis, i would like to see it sitting at 280bhp - 300bhp to really give it good justice to the Q system an chasis - of course this is easily achieveable with an increase in boost and remapping of the ecu.

The new F30 design is safe - it takes the cue from the previous e90 FL....so no big deal.... with the exception of improvised cabin quality and added features.

There was a reason why you departed from your e46 325 to oooo. I am sure you can find the same reasons again this time!

Yes the A4 Q will have the e90 325 for breakfast.! Take a look at youtube videos on s4 vs 335i on the slalom test -> The Audi edges the BMW. THe Q system allows the average joe drivers to power down earlier out of corners which instill driver confidence compared to the BMW rear wheel drive...
