I met an E60 owner last weekend. In his car, under the carpet, there was a Rambo knife and on the driver side was a golf club. I asked him why does he carry such weapons. He told me recently, on his way back from KL to Penang, there were 2 Perdana V6 that chased him from Bukit Merah till Bukit Tambun. These guys tried to intercept and forced him off the road to stop at the Highway. As we know, between Bukit Merah to Bukit Tambun there are many dark and isolated spots. He did not give and fought back through some agressive driving while calling the cops for help. The 2 Perdana V6 gave up the chase and exited Bukit Tambun toll. He stopped at Juru Toll to lodge a report and the police was there.Careful guys... safety can never be taken for granted anymore...planta

Planta, are there as many horror story for E90 compare to E60?

2 weekends ago in Mont Kiara, E60, another horror story. Parang rested over neck demanding surrender of key, right after dinner.

I had a similar experience in August 2007. On my way to Penang for a day trip, near the Tapah exit, a modified white Honda Accord and a Silver Hyundai overtook me and tried to force me out of the road. I was driving pretty fast then (Between 160 - 180 KM/H) but these cars came out of nowhere. Usually, I always move to the left whenever I see a faster car coming from miles away and I did the same here but the difference is that these cars are fast and they slowed down to my speed when they're on my right side. They pushed me to the left, I slowed down cos I thought that they were racing each other and just trying to overtake the other car but I then realised that it seemed a little weird and really slowed down to about 50KM/H. Both cars slowed down as well. My mom was trying to dial 999 at the same time but I must say that the people who answers the call are a real pain in the a** and bloody useless. One of the cars managed to get behind me and another in front. They drove really close to me that I can't speed or slow down, but luck was with me, I managed to move to the left really quickly and sped. Exited the Tapah exit and called for the police at the Toll Plaza. Made a report and all and found out that the Silver Hyundai is a stolen vehicle.

From this experience, I have all kinds of things in my car - A parang, short hard wooden curtain rod on both sides, a baseball bat and a golf club in the boot.

Some of these robbers even warn you that if the car stall half way, they will go after your family.....where your kids go to school, where your wife work and where you stay! They have done all their homework on the cars they targeted!

So be careful guys!

So, the moral of the story is..........do not flaunt your wealth (drive older models) and MUST always stay alert on your surroundings.......

Besides, knocking your car from behind or faking an accident, now the latest tactic is throwing eggs on your car windscreen.
Read on...........

LATEST CASE
My good friend was driving along Kesas Highway just after Plaza Tol Puchong towards Kajang. This happened last Sunday 23rd December at around 11 pm with his wife after attending a dinner function at his relative's house in Bandar Sunway.

Suddenly a motorbike over took them and the pillion rider threw 2 eggs towards his car windscreen. Within seconds his whole windscreen was smeared with the liquid from the egg. His immediate reflex's action was to turn on his windscreen wiper and the whole surface became very blur.

So he immediately slowed his car and brought it to a halt along the emergency lane.
Then he got out of his car and was trying to wipe and wash the windscreen while his wife was seated inside the car. All of a sudden a Proton Satria stopped behind his car and 3 guys came running towards him with Samurai Swords screaming at him to surrender his car and wallet.

Luckily my friend who is attached to the Police CID division managed to pull his gun out and fire two warning shot in the air. To his surprise the 3 guys ran back into their car and drove off with very high speed.
He called up the police and they checked out the plate number and found it to be a false number plate.

Apparently this tactic has been very often used in the latest string of road side robberies especially with lady drivers or men driving alone or with women and small children.
So please if you were to ever encounter such situation the best to do is to make sure:

1) Do not to turn on your wiper.
2) Continue driving to the nearest Petrol Station, Police Station, Mamak Shop, 7-Eleven or any other place that is bright with high traffic to attract attention.

Hi Jerman

Not that I am trying to argue about the action taken by your friend ... what puzzles me is that he had a gun and supposedly licensed to use a gun since he has connections.. why didn't he shoot the 3 samurais instead of shooting the air?

We the laymen are carrying like all what ever we can except grenades and guns in our cars and would at the last resort use these primitive weapons to protect ourselves. I think if guns are allowed in Malaysia, there will be many carrying it... may be we can have a forum section about what gun to put in our cars. The situation in Malaysia is getting worse.

In the next election, let's choose a party that fight for guns for Malaysian..:stupid:

Yikes. Mont Kiara is supposed to be one of the safest places in KL. I see cops patrolling all the time and don't make me go into the ever often road blocks for speeding or drinking. Which part of Mont Kiara did this happen?

:hahaha: True, true but my car is so beautiful that I'm not interested in others'.

Do you really think you are going to use those weapons in your car? You are being targeted by thugs and robbers, use your head, who has more to lose if it really comes down to a confrontation?

Keeping a Rambo knife in your BMW? you are going to have a lot of explaining to do when stopped by police. I don't think the explanation "I'm going on a jungle hike" while driving a E90 is going to cut it :)

It may be true that a person such as I may not use the weapon(s) when confronted by the robbers, but psychologically, it does build up a little bit of confidence in me after having to go through the experience I had. As for the police, I care more about myself and deal with the law if I have to.
