Helloooooo X guys..!! I just got mine X6 last week 2008 UK spec Twin turbo X-Drive 35D. Wanna share your ride & post some picture.?? FB: BMW X5 / X6 Society (updated 11/10/14)

hi all,

i got my x6 on 1st May, been riding few thousand km.
my opinion is, the torque is good, but not as stable as sedan car when doing cornering.
for ppl who is going to buy a x6, should pay a test drive and compare it with m5.

Hi bro Felix , mind to ask your x6 is petrol or diesel ? Which better ? And your car model year ? And which car dealer you buy from ? And your maintenance fee per month ? Thanks if you can answer my Long question because I gonna get this soon

Hi Anson,
My x6 is petrol, 2010. I personally feel it's better to get the petrol version, as it's quite hard to get diesel nowadays. Most of the petrol stations are sold out of diesel, due to the quota control. I get my car from Yap brother, Cheras. I can intro the salesperson to you if you want. Quite a nice and fast response guy, and good after sales service too.

I bought my X6 35D 2008 at last year October. Cost me around RM300k.

I created a group purposely for X6 in FB since i found no group for X6 Malaysia there..
Owner of X6 are welcome to join at facebook 'BMW X6 Group Malaysia' to sharing and exchange the experience.

TQ.

Toying with the idea of getting a recond x6 now that it is a bit affordable at less than 300k. Any tips on which model to avoid (i.e. Diesel, or 3.0, pre lci)?

Sent from my Nexus 4

For reference and advice to X6 owner or potential buyer, i have been using x6 35d approaching 2 years.
X6 is an awesome car with nice shape and power torque.

Anyway u must take note that the high performance diesel engine and diesel fuel available in our country.

The conclusion is we can only use BHP diesel and no others diesel (at least untill now we found the best suitable diesel is bhp). That is due to quality and specification of diesel.
Currently most of the diesel in the country is Euro 2M spec. The best diesel we are waiting is Euro 5 spec diesel that is still not available in klang valley.
However it is available at some part of Johor. U may check at exactly location at bhp web page.

Any info to exchange pls re fer to FB: Bmw X5 / X6 Society.

TQ.

Looks good, sufficient power and torque, handling is ok but body roll is there. Also a pretty uncomfortable ride quality, overall id say flimsy. Brakes are good but again too sensitive and doesnt compliment ride comfort and quality. Most importantly, wear and tear on enine parts like pulleys, bushes die faster than the usual bmw infact had to change faulty injectors. Haha i actually think they couldnt get the x6 correct as a SUV hence the SAC segment. Active steering can also be a nightmare if faulty. Good news is, mine is for Sale ... Just Got a Cayenne Turbo, oooo la la .... This machine drives correct.

Enjoy.

for anyone who is driving the x5/x6, please contact sean woo on the facebook link provided above, nudge him to add you all into the whatsapp group as he is less active in this forum here. There you will learn alot from the sifus. Cheers
