Hi guys,I bought one set of CCFL angel eye last week and managed to test it last night. During testing, I found that two of the rings is dim than the other two. Is it normal? Or I'm having a defective rings. Just need a confirmation before I get a replacement.b

all ccfl should have the same brightness. However due error in the manufacturingand component mismatch, there is bound to be some colour tone difference.

Suggest that you leave the CCFL on for about 1 minute before comparing with each other as it take about this time for it to fully charged up..

If after 1 minute ON and if one set of the CCFL is still dimmer, you should ask the supplier to replace the inverter for you.. good luck

btw, pm me your price..

Hi..

These rings can be seen commonly on the road, so far I've not seen any posting from any members here saying they get caught by traffic police..

Not really sure about legallity. Police might stop you if you're on angel lite at night.

Check this link.

hello Sifus,

Can some help me, I have this pair of CCFL lights ring set for my E30. I notice after couple of weeks of having it, 1 ring appears to be dimmer than the rest 3. when i switch the sockets with another ring and it appears to be the same result.

There was ones, after being dim for like 10 mins it became bright again?Nowadays, it dim but after a while it gets brighter but not as bright as the other 3 ccfl rings.

Can someone help on what should i do?

Where did you buy the CCFL. I am sure it got warranty if it only less than a month.

BTW, did you tie the all the cables from the CCFL ring together?

other than the stock angels... the aftermarket ones sucks big time... will not last even a year... ballast will die off... plus now too common on the roads... got waja eyes, civic eyes, myvi eyes bla bla bla... sigh sigh...

Nowadays, CCFL is very common.. It used to be RM380 when it was first available. Price have dropped to as low as RM170 nowadays. This is almost 50% dropped in price.

Usually the failure is the Inverter. Failure of the inverter is usually caused by wrong installation by the installer and not understanding the function of the inverter.

I have install my angel eye for 2 years now and also no problem. However, take note that CCFL will degrade in brightness when exposed to direct sunlight.
