I didn't experience any adverse effect with fuel consumption after deleting the cat

Surprisingly Bro, there was no error light or code with deletion of cat on my machine. The post cat sensor is the one which shouldve make sure its function is still good. Cat is to burn unburn fuel during combustion and convert contaminant to environmental friendly one before letting it go out of exhaust. Deleting the cat wont make your car run rich

I'm surprised you didn't get any CEL ... Usually there would be an error code logged in the DME at the very least like the P0420 code or the cat inefficiency error.

For reference on the M54: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=486937

i've been DeCat and replace it with bullet. after DeCat,nothing to be coded & no any warning light coming.im running on m54 engine. FC a bit better than before, engine throttle response also a bit better than before. what i can say is,delete it!

Bullet? What we're talking about bro is the catalytic converter at the exhaust manifold not after it. The one after the manifold is usually referred to as resonators and downward further would be the centre muffler.

Kinda limited for the I4 variants, but Eisenmann may be a choice to consider. Not exactly a power upgrade, but wouldn't be a power loss either. Plus you get the sound and option of a twin-pipe design.

I was quoted 3k by speed works for hot bits extractor for n42 until centre bullet and another 2k for back end from center bullet till pipe ends. Twin tips together too. But considering the extractor only as I intend to use eisenmann, Remus or Sebring back end. What do guys think.

Bro, I was expecting the CEL but there is none. There is no error whatsoever related to CAT in DME as well. Sometime also wonder if the CAT was removed at all.

Bro AS, the picture is for O2 sensors. Go to an exhaust shop and tell them "delete cat please"

For those of you with the 6cyl engines, I think you may prefer the UUC Exhaust, which is a complete cat-back system for $2,850sgd
